I don’t see how or why this is at all surprising when other than last year we have been a bottom feeder rebuilding. Does the team not seem to be improving to you? I see a core player emerging the last 4 years in a row, seems pretty dam good for a rebuilding team imo. - neem55
But JB didn’t say we were rebuilding. |

We've been rebuilding since 2013 all the while never committing to a rebuild lol |

Yup, just a quick retool and we'll be competitive again. |

Look at all the best teams, how long did they rebuild? Tor, chicago, pitts all rebuilt and were terrible for a decade. TB was a bit quicker under yzerman but he had stammer and hedman to build around. |

It's been noted that Shanahan and JB took over at the same time. So.... ya. |

I'm just saying we've been drafting in the top 10 since 2013 (save a couple seasons). How many more top 10 picks does Benning need to turn this ship around? Will it be before or after Horvat turns 30? |

My only emotion is towards people who still blindly support and excuse every failure of benning. The team and franchise will never improve until he's gone, so no point in getting excited or having any emotion until then - Codes1087
Does this go for every Canuck GM in history?
Does this all stem from being left at Orange julius?
Do you have abandonment issues? You leave people before they can leave you. |

so self assured... hippy magic will cure yee! Hear ye, hear ye! So no to science and yes to "natural remedies". Most of those are indigenous ideas around healing, but science has taken those same plants and synthesized them. There's a reason why life expetancy is at its highest point in human history. - neem55
People lived 900 years in biblical times. This generation has been poisened by those synthetic drugs and vaccines, look at the autism and how (frank)ed up they are it's off the charts, I had to pull my daughter out of school they wanted her on ritilin which is synthetic cocaine, the medical system killed my mom and dad I could go on and on man. |

23 players on a team. You do the math with 1 first round pick per year given to you.
Even if you get 2 good players out of each draft. |

His asset management is atrocious, he's got tunnel vision, he's done some good things but he should be gone I agree. |

That is why maybe a new GM could do parts that he couldnt by using the parts that he couldn't.
Like TB moving on from stevie. |

im talking Benning, im not talking about Gillis or Burke. Is this a segway into Benning being left a sh*tty hand to deal with which is why its been the way it has been?
truth be told, If Benning had the minivan draft projection list, he would probably do a better job than what he does now, albeit he would probably trade your favorite player from every round for an AHL calibre player |

You are the cream of righteousness with your insinuations. Thank you for your hockey discourse. Without it we'd all be less informed. - NuckUp
It's not an insinuation, it's a fact you pompous hypocrite. |

My mom was a nurse all her life and 2 weeks before her retirement the doctor she worked with cut her (frank)ing bowels with a simple gall stone operation and the bile leaked out and poisened her and did nothing and no opologies just a cover up is that funny or how about my dad at 43 years old they cut his spinal cord on another simple operation and by the time he died at 61 he had 12 pills he took daily had 2 strokes the 3rd one killed him, he couldn't talk and could only use one arm for 2 years is that funny. |

The team will never improve until we have new ownership. The only real options as fans are to be a coward and find a new team to cheer for, or just enjoy watching hockey knowing that we won’t have a championship in our lifetimes. I’ll choose the latter. The Stanley cup doesn’t mean as much to me as many other fans. I just like watching puck

Yes!!!!! But we need a rich owner that isn’t involved. They don’t grow on trees sadly. Maybe if the Pfizer gang teamed up we could buy the team. |
