I’m gonna come off as a troll as context n this forum is hard to do but if you feel it’s such a shame that he gets considered even more for speaking French then why do you type your blog in both languages? |

Because i feel the best candidate should get the job not the best French speaking candidate. I write my blogs in both English and French because the Habs have fans who speak both of these languages and also because readers on Twitter asked me if I could possibly do it since their English wasn’t good enough to understand everything. One has nothing to do with the other, if you ask me. |

Correction, Caufield should be “Le Petit Cannon”. My spelling error. |

actually you had it right the first time, in French there's only one "n" in canon |

Bob Hartley would never accept to replace Ducharme. They have a history. He played for him in Hawkesbury. Lived next door to him and played with Bob’s kids. Bob’s son played for Dom and later became Dom’s assistant coach. I think Dom is Godfather to Bob’s grandchild! I doubt Bob would accept knowing that Dom would be let go and he his still under contract in KHL!
I’ve always liked Gerard Gallant! That being said, the Habs will keep Dom or promote from within! |

Unfortunately, the defenders and checkers are too laggard and dilatory to shut down McDavid during the playoffs.
Both Edmonton and Toronto are well suited to exploit the team's weaknesses. These potential opponents are quicker, have better gap control, are superior forecheckers, and have reliable and effective defensive systems. They also possess elite players in their prime, skilled coaches respected by the players and both teams have statistically better goalkeeping. Toronto has no significant weaknesses and Edmonton's glaring concern is a lack of depth, which will likely not be a problem in the first round.
While it is doable for the Habs to survive the first round, i suggest it remains highly unlikely we will see any playoff success. - Jackie Daytona
This is very dramatic for an unconvincing opinion.

yes and that's why I think if they're given the opportunity to work together they might consider it and forget about who's stealing who's job... let's not forget Ducharme was appointed on an interim basis. working with Bob could definitely be a beneficial experience for him in his learning curve as an NHL coach.

well that all depends on how they evaluate things in their decision-making... as I was saying I find that automatically giving DD the full-time coaching job if he makes the playoffs or wins a playoff round is a very simplistic perspective. |

imo, when they hired him as an assistant coach, their idea was that he would eventualy replace CJ. his turn came sooner than expected. up to him now to show he deserved it. if he fails, maybe they'll find another one. but if they do well, no doubt he'll be back as the full time coach.
now define do well. to me it's reach the final 4. |
