Last two games Staal was a bit better on the cycle protecting the puck. I still think he is useless because he just cant skate and recover a puck in his own end. I prefer Frolik but I think we cant bench Staal until the playoffs because of this recalls thing.

agreed, that 4th line plays more often in the O-zone than not

they get to pick who they want in the first round...take it easy and allow MTL to jump over WPG or beat up MTL a few more times and increase the odds of playing them in the first round. They decide how they want to do this

it's not first in first out. they can send anyone of the 3 back when Tatar is ready. my money is on Frolik.

Frolik Caufield and Evans are emergency recalls. One of them can stay since Drouin is out till the end but when tatar or byron comes back, someone has to go to the TS. That’s Frolik for me as he’s the least useful and least used

7 forwards, 3 defences and 1 goalie or 4 forwards, 4 defences and 1 goalie can be protected. Suzuki and Romanov are exempt. Gallagher, Petry and Price have nmc. You don’t need to protect Tatar and Danault since both are going to UFA.
