No matter what, this is really serious, and really sad. My brother in law lives in Edmonton, and he has a 4 year old and a baby on the way. His community is being hit hard and he is doing everything he can to stay safe.

Hey man sorry about my message yesterday, just taking my volunteer job seriously.

I am genuinely concerned about how stigmatization from social media sites can have adverse effects on certain susceptible people, we have quite a few in here.

Yesterdays message was a request from an individual here that pointed out how the constant trivialization of anti vaxxers and slanderous defamation of an entire province is causing mental health issues and I should be doing more towards changing attitudes towards mental health issues.

In the end, although I do believe in bringing about awareness and change, I was being played for someones perverse enjoyment.


Remember everyone, words can hurt, think about that.

Though I fully agree that we need to be cognitive of peoples mental health. Anti-Vaxxers have been proven to be the cause of diseases, that were thought to be eradicated, coming back. It is a dangerous way of thinking with no medical science to back it up. If someone brings that in here, they should expect a lot of pushback from other posters. If they don't want to hear it, they should simply stop posting it. People here seem to only react to Anti-Vaxx posts. I pretty much don't see them making fun of Anti-Vaxxers pre-emptively.
