I still maintain that Panarin should be suspended for being the 3rd man in. Poor Northy is going to have nightmares for weeks, I hope he finds his tear-repellent Rangers jersey comforting.

In canuck news. Linus karlsson (who had a dominant year last year in the div 2 Swedish league) just signed a 2 year deal in the SHL. He becomes a UFA after his contract is up and can sign with any NHL team.

Yes. The NHL and SHL have some sort of transfer agreement. Only the KHL doesn’t

Yeah its weird. He can opt out of his final year in the SHL near the end of his contract and sign in the NHL. Not 100% sure how it works.

There's just so many question marks when you consider the Edler suspension(which I think was fair, if maybe 1 game too long), Wilsons history(including being suspended already this year, and the protection of star players. If this had happened to Matthews or McDavid you know the reaction would be much louder and go on for months.

It’s not a fact. They were not “better” before Covid struck. They were terribly out played by Ottawa days before their break. Yes, they managed an OT and a SO win, but they were not the better team. Just like in Feb when they lost almost every game but were playing not bad.

They are probably lower in the standings than they ought to be, but not by much.
