The way I see it, is that you have 2 options with Miller.
1. You find a way to dump Eriksson, LTIRetire Beagle at the end of season(reports are that he is not going to be healthy next season) and probably LTIRetire Roussell(same knee he had surgery on, probably too much of a risk for him to play again on it) and use that spare 12m to improve your top 4 and change your forward group to match what Vegas does. 3 lines and a grinding line that doesn't see the ice unless you are up a goal, and they just hit and wear down other teams 2nd and 3rd line. Roll something like:
X - EP - Boeser
Hogger - Bo - Podk
Pearson - Miller - X(Lind?)
X(gadj?) - X - Mackewan
12m is used to upgrade all X's. Maybe even put Podk with Ep and Brock and find the upgrade for Bo.
2. Trade Miller at an all time high as he has proven to be a top line player and should yield more than we gave up. Those assets should be ready in 1-2 years when JB see's us competing and will come in with an extremely valuable ELC. Get high picks for 1-2 years that will also help us when we are ready. - Retinalz
Actually this aint so bad...give Miller the 3LC and let him run with it. I like it. |

Why? He was fired for his incompetence. Much like JB needs to be fired for his incompetence. I can’t ask for more than that. - bloatedmosquito
Do you still see that happening after the Aquilini vote of JB confidence? |

It’s like, if Qui-Gon Ginn had just taken the parts he needed from Watto - by force if necessary - the whole evil republic thing would have just fizzled out.
What? Oh, sorry, am I a day late with that? My bad. I’ll show myself out. |

Why would you demote a player who is arguably your best winger to play C on the “3rd” line? He is a much better winger than he is a C, and he is much more productive with top six talent than he is with scrubs. |

Podk will hit the ground running, though I think he will be better off on EP and Boesers wing than Bo's |

Aquilini has been silent for several weeks. The day after the Canucks season ends, I hope his ass and stuff is fired. |

On a good team, Hoglander would be a 3rd line player. - Marwood
Why? He is scoring low end 2nd line pace and he is a rookie? Can he not improve or is 20 his prime? |

Yes, but he hit the Canucks at just the right time to grow into his role. I think he'd claw his way into the top 6 of any team eventually. |

Is it really two years? I just don’t see much else coming up through the system, which means they are going to have to fill their needs through free agency, and that scares the crap out of me. I mean, maybe Rathnone can be a new Edler, and Woo a Bieksa, but beyond that and Podkolzin there’s not much to be excited about fir the next what, four years? |
