Unless they considered his cromagnon brain to be the "upper body injury", I think there's a zero percent chance he was actually injured. They really had no reason to leave him in, he only would've been a target all night long and there's no point in risking injuring a top-six forward (especially with two others already out) when there is zero upside to having him play.

If Laviolette had half a brain he wouldn't have even bothered dressing him in the first place.

I don't know...when you're already down OV and Coke-netsov you may want to consider the fact that Wilson is an important part of the team for the playoffs and that you probably shouldn't risk injury.

It's all moot though, he should have been suspended and dressing/not dressing him shouldn't even be a debate.

I'd say that his appearance in the game was more of a ceremonial statement that they weren't running from a fight. Then they got him out to keep him from being around for garbage time when liberties might be taken. That payback will come next year I would imagine, much like when Vegas torched him
