Maybe for the first time ever, I agree with Larry Brooks. He SHOULD be suspended. Not so sure it's gonna happen however. Here's the NHL's write-up on the game which mentions the body slam in passing....https://www.nhl.com/news/...rs-game-recap/c-324148994

The refs only gave him a double minor and a 10-minute misconduct, not a major and a game misconduct. Of course, the NHL is not restricted by the calls on the ice.

Yeah you guys had a couple calls go against you last night. But you got outplayed from the 2nd period on by a team with half there AHL team playing and a 5th string goalie because of all the injuries. Unfortunately bad calls happen every game, you guys have a decent team, games like this happen. Damn we as Sabres fans have seen it for a decade.

Agreed. And we know about bad teams. Until we got a real coach and professionalism in the front office, we had a quarter century of mostly bad teams.

I hope if Wilson does get suspended (which he obviously should) he appeals and plays Wednesday because I want to see someone on the Rangers take a cheap shot at him. With intent.

I hate to say this because I don’t usually condone this type of poop but until a key player gets hurt or Wilson himself, the excuses on his behalf will continue and the 3-game suspensions will continue. The poop he pulled in the penalty box is so juvenile and his team obviously loved every minute of it. Will they cheer when Backstrom or Carlson is taken off on a stretcher?

Panarin came inches away from getting his skull cracked open. That replay is hard to watch.

I’m gonna say this. The league and (ESPECIALLY) the players Union are too chicken poop to address this and do the right thing. How can you pretend to care about head injuries when this serial abuser gets minimal punishment and his own, stupid, enabling team makes him an alternate captain?

I was gonna post this in Ek’s thread but I don’t feel like getting into it with some of the mouth breathers commenting in that thread.

At the 10:42 mark in the 2nd period, they went up 2 - 0. That's about the time they stopped playing. And not the entire team, just the usual suspects.......the guys who nearly always opt for the poke check over taking the body.......the guys who always seem to be on the ice during goals against.

Some teams have the talent to bury more of their chances than the Isles who are offensively challenged. Those teams can win games even if a few guys aren't playing hard every shift. I'm not saying that teams can get away with playing 20 minutes a game.

He actually said it was a “good play” injuring and taking out Vishnovsky. There’s a difference between defending and saying that. I was furious when I heard that interview

Don't know but I have defended him in the past but the Guy just keeps crossing the line and his lack of respect for other players careers and well being should tell the league this guy needs to get 10 games at least with an unconditional warning that if he does it again he should kiss his career goodbye. Enough is enough. Nothing wrong with tough hard play but keep it human and respect the game and the others that play it with you.

The Rangers need to embarrass the league on Wednesday night. I can’t wait for that game. They should dress anyone eligible willing to take one for the team. Just continually pummel all their players. Who cares what the score is? If you’re a member of that team and you’re not incensed right now you should find another line of work.

And, I said it in the Rangers thread, the league basically blaming Panarin for putting himself into that situation is like defending a husband for beating his wife because she couldn’t take his poop anymore. Just, such a pissed poor take from the league and I can’t believe I’m actually rooting for the Rangers to (frank) poop up.

I think he will get a suspension. He ended Panarin's season and there is a lot of public pressure. The league may be shamed into the correct decision.
