Be prepared for more downs than ups over the next two years. Most of the rookies on the roster will, for all intents and purposes, still be rookies next year. There will still be a lack of experience on the roster and there may be even more rookies to begin breaking in. - paulr
That's fine, i see so many silver linings on this team. Just a matter of time, experience.

Hawks have been outplayed since the first - Brind’Amour made adjustments with his admittedly much better team, Colliton hasn’t been able to counter.
I’m not yet saying Colliton won’t be a good coach - he as yet hasn’t proven anything yet - especially on in-game coaching. - StLBravesFan
I would argue that is because the Canes are a vastly better team - considering they are currently the best team in the league (points). |

Well, we'd be paying Artemi 11 mil, which no one would want. You don't make trades to win them, you make them to address areas of need. Physicality was a need, but so is him playing smart defense. - I Am The Breadman
My point being Bowman has basically been fleeced continuously on his trades. And let's not get into the 11 million for Panera please ?
We've been through that for years now. You don't trade a superstar to fill needs.... EVER.

I would argue that - you are correct, which I noted in my post.
But I haven’t seen much from Colliton in the way of in-game adjustments that work.
Just my opinion - no stats or facts to back it up. |

Kubalik for a 5th as starters. Saad was a cap dump, they needed the space before Stan knew about Seabs and Torws. ADB for 1/2 Shaw, Kurashev and Beaudin for Hartman. |

Absolutely agree.... however....Rocky may not want to pay a real coach millions vs the 400K for JC. - Hawkytalk
JC pulls the goalie with 2:59 left on the Power Play?
No patience - no experience
How did that work out ?
I'll be surprised if Collitan is here come July |

He’s had 8 years to figure it out. So, we’re expecting next season to be his break out year? |

There's plenty to like and build off this game. Skills were shown. Colliton can be given some credit for the good also. - I Am The Breadman
Strangely, for some fans, the worst thing that happened to the Hawks this season was them playing above expectations and challenging for a playoff spot. Unfortunately some fans get so caught up in the team’s standings and seemingly overlook that the team is in a rebuild. Any Mistakes rookies make this year are completely irrelevant except in so far as they are learning from them.
Blackhawk fans, a little suggestion; to prevent a potential heart attack or stroke, not to mention your sanity you may want to look at the big picture and embrace the rebuild or you’re going to have an awful two years picking apart what, at this time, really isn’t important. |

What adjustments did Brind a mour make besides “play better”?

Kubalik is far from a fleece. Bowman has made good trades, idk why he is never given credit. & don't bring up a relevant point that would put our team in cap hell, an aspect of Bowman's job he takes heat for all the time for? Artemi didn't/doesn't play defense which he was criticized for & Kane is too. With Artemi, we were still swept by Nashville. Clearly, we have areas to address besides losing him. & I loved Artemi. Filling a need is important. |

First goal: confusion between Mitchell and the forward about who has the slot.
Second goal: face-off win, set play, shot from the blue line goes in with tons of traffic.
Third goal: partial breakaway after a turnover in the O-zone.
Fourth: Three Hawks glide in and cover the same guy leaving the middle of the ice wide open for TT.
Yeah, I'm gonna guess that Colliton already asked them to stop (frank)ing up. What adjustment is he supposed to make there? - Chunk
Give it up it's like talking to your kids. Coach is supposed to fix everything. No concept of "players play and coaches coach." When playing isn't going well look at the players, not the coaches.

They've had 40 years in Pittsburgh, Cincinnati and KC. (Baseball). One fluky title 120 years of play. That's worse than the Cubs 108. If you don't have players you're (frank)ed. And he wasn't too shabby in Rockford. |

C’mon, star, you can do better than to insult a poster you disagree with.
When playing isn’t going well, look to the players…AND the coaches…AND the superstars like Kane (invisible after the first, 2 assists on the game but -4), AND the goalie who gave up 4, AND…. |

Finished 4th in the Division, and rode some Blackhawk vets and hot goaltending in the playoffs. His 1 good season was his 4th in Mora. |

Don't see an upside to continuing on with this Collitan experiment
The record isn't his fault -
but
He's not the leader we need
