you realize governments had a year to plan for mass-vaccination plans, right?
- MaximusAurelius

Can't say I love our Fed's vaccine contracting but relative to the rest of the world we're not bad. Pretty equivalent to most of the EU (around 35%). UK and US are the flag bearers so we catch a lot of flack in comparison to them.

My wife told me what she's cooking the rest of the week - including fish taco's on Saturday night.

Why haven't I eaten the (frank)ing fish taco's!

Dramatic point making indeed!

I've ordered a couple of cast iron pots to cook in our outdoor pizza oven.

If they arrive by Friday, it's going to be a glorious weekend of outdoor cooking.

I may even do a breakfast pizza.

yes, just saw that.
novavax is only arriving end of 2021...
short term, governments should just one-dose all people.

- MaximusAurelius

Ontario switched to that strategy in about March.

It appears to be working in the UK and here. Stats seem to show 50% single dosed is a big marker for the community in terms of slowing spread and hospitalizations.

What do you expect?

It's been 100 years, and they still can't develop a cooties vaccine.

When my daughter was in daycare, there were huge outbreaks.

And don't bother telling me your home remedies: wearing red, white and blue doesn't work. Crossing your fingers doesn't work.

Jack Daniels, Crown Royal or 40 Creek and weed does it.

canada is doing worse (in % fully vaccinated) than countries like brazil, bulgaria, montenegro, colombia - while having 3x as much vaccine doses / 100 available as these countries.
canada has been very very bad in the vaccine implementation.

I love breakfast pizza and pizza generally. I've contemplated an outdoor oven but it'll be hard in our skinny little Portugal backyard.

How much room to you need for it?

agreed, and mine was almost 4 weeks ago.

The message today is causing people to ask whether or not they got tricked into a lesser vaccine, and people 50-60 wondering why it was OK for them to get the "dangerous" vaccine. These are valid questions. The statements today were irresponsible.

You just contradicted yourself.

Canada, probably more than any other country in the world, went directly to a single dose program. If the evidence proves the single dose strategy is poop then we can kick the chair over.

Remarkably little room required.

It's about 30 inches deep, and about 38 inches wide.

It's remarkably well insulated, so you don't need a lot of buffer room - just some space in front, as flames will come out the entrance.

Ours is just a stainless steel - but if I win the lottery, I'm going to have giant-arsed outdoor kitchen and bar, and have a proper brick one built.

I've seen videos, and apparently the good brick ones will hold their heat for days - so you make some nice pizzas for dinner, then as you go to bed you add something that slowcooks - ready for breakfast or lunch the next day.

Bring back Uggie.

In addition, Canada bought approx 400million doses of covid vaccines, and only vaccinated a few million?
that's even worse than most european countries.. what happened??

- MaximusAurelius

Stupid Canada has to rely on other countries that are constantly cutting the order down.
how in the world are they suppose to vaccinate people when they don't have any.

So Wilson gets nothing. I'm surprised. I think at least a game was worthy. Especially with them playing against the rangers again this season.

Ive been researching. You can get a good portable (just find a good spot for it) wood fired oven for about $400 that can do one 12” pie at a time or you start looking at increments going much higher,

17M received ....14M injected.

30M more coming over the next 8 weeks. Next hurdle is to ramp up injections over those 8 weeks.

In Ontario we need to get from ~100k per day up to ~150k+ per day really soon.

If we do we'll all be single dosed by Mid-June and Double dosed by late summer.

- The Law

The capability to do that many has been there for a while. The delays are doses, period.

If doses were rolled out to pharmacies mass-vac sites, doctors offices etc. we would well exceed those targets. The fact is, there is not enough vaccine to feed the capacity.

I think Toronto (or was it Ontario?) hit 146Kor 166K (forget exactly what I heard)

Sask has (frank)ed a lot of things up during this pandemic but one thing it turns out they've been real good at is getting shots in arms.
