If they really want to send a message, Rangers ownership/management could refuse to put their team on the ice on Wednesday. If the NHL is going to allow Wilson to act like that, they could argue they can't provide a workplace with reasonably mitigated risks for their employees. The game is meaningless for them anyways. Especially if it were to be played in Washington (it's in NY, so money to be lost)
