Funny you say that. I developed an autoimmune disease and was on short term disability when the company decided to package out all the people who were eligible for retirement but hadn’t. I had been eligible for four years but still enjoyed working and was paddling my pension. So I lucked out, I got a really good package and it came at the right time. The last year I have getting great medical support and am feeling better by the day and am starting to enjoy retirement. Even though the lockdowns have left me with (frank) all to do.

McGuire is a fool. If it takes a Tom Wilson to get up for a game, then you are a weak team. The coach should be fired on the spot if that is the case. Sounds like Pen!s is making an excuse for the way the game is going.

Rangers showing some spunk but these "fights" won't deter Wilson in the future. He'll probably get in another fight and get tossed from the game. Would a wiser Ranger strategy be to run Carlson or Backstrom to get some revenge and send the message to Wilson.

Agreed, I typically don’t care for McGuire either. But, he made a good point about the league not handling the situation - and now we have a game that the league isn’t going to enjoy in terms of its optics. There are almost more players in the box than the bench.

The Rangers are in the second year of a wholesale rebuild. They drafted the #2 and #1 overall picks recently - and signed Panarin to a huge contract. But since they didn’t goon up their roster in response to one opposing player (Wilson) - the team president and GM deserved to get fired?

Watching the Rangers/Caps game for the fireworks.

Other than that, really first non-Hawks game I've carefully watched this year.

The Rangers look like the Hawks, where NY gives up 3 goals either shorthanded or traffic and chasing the puck a lot. Fewer shots on goal and fewer good chances.

Neither Kakko or Lafreniere are noticeable.

Good to know there are other young teams out there.
