Watching the Rangers/Caps game for the fireworks.

Other than that, really first non-Hawks game I've carefully watched this year.

The Rangers look like the Hawks, where NY gives up 3 goals either shorthanded or traffic and chasing the puck a lot. Fewer shots on goal and fewer good chances.

Neither Kakko or Lafreniere are noticeable.

Good to know there are other young teams out there.

Good old fashioned hockey, just terrible

The Rangers are in the second year of a wholesale rebuild. They drafted the #2 and #1 overall picks recently - and signed Panarin to a huge contract. But since they didn’t goon up their roster in response to one opposing player (Wilson) - the team president and GM deserved to get fired?

I’m not buying into that perspective…

You don't have to buy anything I am selling, but
Davison knew Wilson was in the division, and a clear issue in the past that he had no response to.

even in a rebuild, or maybe ESPECIALLY in a rebuild, you make sure you don't put your skilled guys in arms way by having no response...

Screw Wilson. Hope they go after him every period!! A waste of good oxygen.

As I said,... through a friend phoned about the call up of BiTetto came with clear instructions that the team was going to respond to Wilson and expected HIM to lead it. (HIS Bitetto's brother told my friend this and Anthony just questions, they think I can match up with him???...is no made up thing by me,...I got a call about it, no fantasy make believe...)

So, the big bad wold had to take 15 minutes in pims in one game when they could have had someone to answer (from Zakarov to Stillman to _________) because there were plenty of available guys with more muster than the new look Rangers.

I am simply saying Wilsons are part of the sport and whether we like him, hate him, respect him, or disrespect him, they have ALWAYS been there. Earl Seibert.

That idea may be the thing many dislike over the player who is very good at that job.

How appropriate Newhook looks like first game today. Although with his name SOUNDS APPROPIATE OR CURRENT WITH THE FIGHTING NEWS OF THE DAY.

With his talent he gives them even more of a fighting chance to win. Adding Newhook just makes them look like an even larger Avalanche of offensive firepower.

Byram is still out, though. Imagine if he was carving up NHL defense with his attack up ice. Seems like he was just trying to survive, not contributing much offensively as he was trying not to be overmatched defensively this season.

I believe that he caught wiz a tad off guard making the NHL with his defensive deficiencies. However, not totally surprised after his strong WJC showing.

Sakic pushing him ahead of his time reminds of Chicago trying to push Forsling too soon. Forsling was best on Chicago defense making plays at speed.

But there is.a lot to NHL both offensively and defensively for a youngster to master well enough to stick around. Physical their (body) strength & compete against men is also a big transition

Why has Darryl Sutter not helped move the needle to a higher winning percentage in Calgary?

How well is this season's Penguins iteration of fill ins around the base (core) going to "play" out. Here is a team still battling again in the playoffs with yesterday's heroes

Something the Blackhawks could no longer keep doing.

I realize that the Penguins have added a couple nice pieces last couple of seasons, but cmon' man they are basicly treading water......not going to advance to the Final.

Recalling another player or two from Rockford even for one game really pulls a lot cumulatively from the Icehogs lineup this season. I wonder if it would prove beneficial to the development of Slavin and Regula to play one NHL game at the end of the season. Among dmen just sit out a veteran.
