I could see them dropping a game to the Habs - Aetherial
You obviously didn't watch them play last night against the Senators.

Why not before the ride?
Also, where are you getting sun? - Zezel
We had sun near the bluffs at 7:30 am today.
And after the ride because it's water before the ride. |

The most encouraging part of this season for the Leafs is that they really have not had many games where they totally crapped the bed. You can look at nearly all their losses and point to well below-average goaltending. |

So Woll "had a game" for the Marlies the other day......makes you wonder if that's what he is actually capable of (would be nice) or if it's more like Sparks getting a shut out in his first Leaf start.
Either way impressive game from Woll 57 saves!
https://thehockeywriters....mCMW2AMIeT-wKabalZCFD0A9o
This line in the article makes me feel like it was more of a Sparks Shutout moment thought: The win evens Woll’s record to 5-5 this season. His goals-against average now sits as 3.42, and his save percentage is .892. Granted, these are not the best statistics, but they are improvements over the previous season. |

Yeah, it's gigantic and heavy and I can't get the front brakes to stop squealing and I love it.
Can't wait to take it on an overnight trip this summer. |

As long as we stay ahead of the Eastern Division, we won’t be the bottom seed and won’t have to play the top seed in the third round. - Canada Cup
Oh, and I thought the NHL was finding new ways to stick it to the Leafs. |

Sounds like the old steel tourer I bought. Not as quick as my old road bike, but soaks up chatter. I have a big-ass route around the west GTA I'm gonna do when I get my fitness level up. |

Yes, skipping the bike ride. |

Isn't it also true that sometimes goalies do better at the NHL level, due to more structure to the game?
This is my optimistic take. At some point they will need to throw Woll in there for a few games to see what they have. I don't think you can get the whole picture at the AHL level. |

Yeah, I'm in it for the fitness and not the speed... for now...
Let me know what the route looks like, I'm down for some variety here and there and would be fun to explore different areas.
I have two that I do starting from here... one is up to warden woods, down to taylor creek, across don valley and up to science centre/sunnybrook park, south to mt pleasant cematary, down the beltline, south on don valley to lakeshore, lakeshore to kew beach... stop for a beer... then up queen through the beaches to home. A bit over 40k in total and mostly bike path and green space
The other goes to thompson park, past scarborough golf club, to morningside park and then back down along the lake and through guildwood to the bluffs and home |

Goaltending was horrible a times for the Leafs this year. Even you guys have to admit, in hindsight, that stretch by Andersen was putrid.
I realize every team has issues sometimes with goaltending, but to pretend it is never the problem is silly. Many people put up numbers pretty clearly showing the goaltending was not getting it done. - Aetherial

Unless there is upsets in the top divisions. - bryant
No, no matter what if we finish ahead of the East there is no way we can play the top seed. There will be a team seeded below us. The third round seeding goes by team, not division. |

They Leafs are very poor at getting goalies. I cant think of a team that has been more inept at drafting goalies.

To pretend every or almost every game the Leafs lost was because of goaltender is equally silly in my opinion but it's just my biased, goalie loving opinion.
And for the record I personally have never said it was never a problem? The only time I said pretty much nothing is when the savior had his 5 game skid because the "Freddy wife" hate I knew I'd get wasn't worth the aggravation to me.
Yes - like all teams the Leafs had stretches of poor goal tending this year, including by Freddy, Jack, Hutch and Big Sieve Dave. I am looking at the glass half full view that 1 or 2 of those 4 will be able to provide at least average / solid goal tending for the playoffs. I'm also really praying we don't see a repeat of last year where our dynamic goal scoring shriveled up to George Costanza 'the water was cold, there was shrinkage' levels (a la, don't score a single goal twice in a 5 game series).

We differ on what’s a good goal and what’s not. Oh well...🤷🏻♂️
Not a big deal.
