lol when the Oilers were one win away from the conference final and Hall was golfing that Chiarelli deal didn't look so bad then. Now Hall has been a cancer basically everywhere he goes. BPA is fine if you are picking top 5 alot but outside of that it's tough. JV was a miss to be sure but OJ will turn out to be an excellent pick. Lots of hits and misses. JV was also rated very high regardless of FA. Gotta be careful or you will land a few JV's with the BPA mentality. - LordHumungous
The Hall trade was terrible for Edm. imo.
Hall is doing just fine in Boston, as a 'beta'.

I agree,
Both need a change but DeAngelo fills a need for the Canucks, Right shot, 25 year old defenceman. He had 53 points last year in 68 games. Canucks don’t have a lot of choices with Jake best they cut bait and move on, getting a potential top 4 back is a good trade. - K-man25

Rather have the cap space to sign a different RHD. |

Krejci so underrated. Quite surprised he hasn't made more out of Debrusk. |

Doggies a good one. Can’t seem to stick anywhere. Plus he’s another former Flames, so there’s that. |

We'll see how Hall holds up in the PO's in Boston. They may be able to get him in order. Regardless Hall and McDavid at the time was not going to work in the same dressing room so Chia did what was needed and LArsson was instrumental in the PO run that year. It gets amplified as EDM has missed the PO's until this season. Sure wish we had Larssen here. Plays tough D. |

We don’t want a racist player. Calgary is the only team that has a culture toxic enough to fit him in |

They both have contracts that no team wants. Virtanen will likely get his contract terminated if proven guilty, or his contract will get bought out. I imagine the same goes for deangelo. |

I think this is backwards. JV was not the BPA at 6th overall. JV was ranked 6th amongst North American skaters in Central Scouting’s final rankings, not 6th overall.
The Canucks reached for JV because they wanted/needed a power forward. If they did go with BPA they probably would have ended up with someone like Nylander or Kapanen.
Crazy to think that for the first time in forever the Canucks had two picks in the first round and now have nothing but Pearson to show for it. |
