Yeah they are and it’s completely sensible thinking they’ll be out in the first round the way they look now. I just think they’ll snap out of it when they need to which isn’t exactly realistic. - Cptmjl
They're just playing bad to trap whoever they play into a false sense of security so we can kick their Richards in come playoff time

That trade is looking more and more like a disaster. Of course it's all really contingent on the playoff result. Had Anders been healthy, the addition of Palmieri would have been a great push (though undoable cap-wise). With Anders gone, it had a bandaid on a bullet wound kinda feel.
Meanwhile Hall has 12 points since he joined the Bruins. - keaner17
Makes one wonder how hard he was pooch screwing in Buffalo.

(frank) the Sabres and (frank) Hall too. Palmieri is winning the Conn Smythe. |

I wish it was as easy as they’re just gonna turn it on next week but this team hasn’t been the same since Lee got hurt. And, I’ve said it before, I don’t think Dobson’s been the same since he had covid.
I guess I’m cautiously optimistic at this point.
Just to add about Palmieri, I wish he would have just been put on the line with 13 and 7 right from the beginning. He has to be frustrated with his constant fluctuation in the lineup. |

Agree with pretty much everything here...
I do think they were playing well before the trade deadline for a stretch after Lee went down but yeah agree for the most part. |

The last three years I would agree with you this year I’m not so sure. |

I think the isles can shut them down in a tight checking game, let the bruins and caps beat each other sensless |

I'd prefer the Penguins. Plus I'd like to watch a Caps/Bruins series. |

Yeah that’s not such a bad plan either I just don’t think the pens are the easy route like they have been. They’re playing some incredible hockey especially against us. I would rather stay away from Boston for the duration of the playoffs but between the caps and the pens I think they’re pretty even for different reasons. |

Not a bad period. They have more jump than they've had in the past few. Hopefully they'll keep the pressure on in the second. |
