Very true. Either way not gonna be a cakewalk. I think a Bs caps series would be ugly though. All for it. - Thorny87
I think the B's are pretty thin, but Rask always seems to play well against the Pens. |

No team will be a cakewalk. The Isles are a team built for playoff hockey and IMO there's no "upset" in the first round of the East, but I think the Pens, aside from how loose they've played as of late, know exactly how to play to beat the Isles. |

I don't think there's any upset in the East in general. The upset would be an east team winning the conference finals. |

Pretty amazing what they have done this season. I thought with a healthy roster they might struggle to get into the playoffs, yet the deal with a huge amount of injuries and manage to win the division... really excited for the playoffs. |

This Washington/Rangers thing got me thinking... does anyone think its a good idea for a tough guy or two to be in the organization but not in the lineup? If something happens, they wouldnt be there to do something about it afterwards... but chances are youd play that team again. is it worth it? I think everyone agrees giving a guy like that a spot in the lineup every game would not be a good idea, but if they are in the AHL and can be called up... I wouldnt hate it. - SuperHenderson13
Brian Burke and Ron Hextall are now in charge of the pens roster. Id say the pens may get a little more Canadian. Whoever mentioned Angelo look up jus ahl fight card. Dude can’t fight. |

Rutherford deserves a lot of credit, yes. Don't sell Hextall short here either. Leaving the roster be was the right move. The moves he did make were excellent. Friedman helped solidify depth and Carter is playing the best hockey he has played years.

Always did, always will. Sullivan's biggest mistake was refusing to play Reaves. He was good enough to be in the lineup and Sully still insisted on benching him.

It makes no difference who we play. The main thing is we have home ice. We aren't a good road team, at all. We need to continue winning at home and steal a road game or two. |

Yea the Reaves benching was dumb. He was definitely a good 4th liner to have that could chip in goals. Ruth brought Reaves in who was good and could fight and Gudbranson who was good and could fight. Sully hated Reaves because he wasn't a fast guy. Gudbranson just fell on the JJ sword. |

Honestly I want this to be a redemption year. Isles first round for 2018 and the B's the second round for 2013. Let's go! |

That would be sweet haha. But would we get them? I guess they go by best team vs worst team then the other two in the middle? |

So if Washington gets Boston, I'm just not seeing how Washington can get by. They are really banged up. Last night's game they were missing Ovi, Backstrom, Kuzy and Carlson. And Wilson left the game. Those are huge blows left and right. |

I can't tell for sure but it looks like Washington has second place locked up. They have time to recuperate.
The playoffs aren't the grind they used to be and they certainly aren't going to be as taxing as this years regular season.

Wilson finished the game. Kuznetsov and samsanov are on covid protocol. So those 3 should be in for sure. They have prob a week still before playoffs. I imagine most of their team plays game 1. That being said I still think Boston will destroy them. Anything can happen but right now I think Boston is the team to beat. Reilly really helped stabilize their D and their offence has been unstoppable. They’ve scored more goals than Pitt since the TDL, which is a lot. |

Washington is toast, but I will certainly enjoy watching Marchand vs. Wilson. |

I dont think JR deserves any credit other than pissing the players off so bad that they rallied around him quitting.
JR would have made a bunch of trades that blew up team chemistry and he wouldn't have been able to pull off the Carter trade, definitely not for what Hexy paid.
He gets 0 credit in my books. |

Lest we not forget Craig Patrick for drafting Sid, geno, letang, and shero and his team for choosing all his players that we still have. Not to mention Sid for being man enough to carry his giant Richard and this whole team for half a year at the same time. |
