High probability York is a full time player for us next year. He simply skates and moves the puck too well not to |

Has Voracek played in the last 10 games? Dude is totally invisible which is to be expected. Please get him outta here! I really think he is a big part of this losing culture
that has permeated this team in the last decade. Get his arse outta here no matter what it takes!!!!! The defense can be fixed relatively easy IMO especially if York is the real deal, but this group of forwards needs lots of work. I still can't believe Chucky let Pitlick walk when this is exactly what this forward group needs(not to mention that he was good on the PK). If you fix the defense Hart will probably be fine cause he is a position goalie. I really wish that they wouldn't have signed Hayes. He is exactly what they don't need. He looks painfully slow in a league that keeps getting faster. I don't see that signing ending well. Thanks!! - Phillywhiteout
43 points in 51 games is horrible! He is trash. |

Jake is not trash, but I just don't think you can win with him. Too pass happy, too many turnovers in bad areas of the ice, too many times he does not back check, too many times he takes long shifts, and too many lost puck battles. To me the bad out weighs the good, I think a team like Toronto would love Jake. |

I thought you said Voracek is unnoticeable? Now, this could be just me, but if I saw a pachyderm defecate hugely anywhere, let alone on ice, I believe I would notice. - PT21 Silly me, I guess I should have clarified. I meant to say noticeable in a good way.

Not too many on this roster who are untradeable with the shortcomings in the last few seasons, Trades take two and we're going to be motivated to shake things up so chances are it might (at least look) like an overpayment to get a top RHD. This team can not go on as it sits, The trickle down effect of our lackluster D situation could do long term damage to Harts career. He deserves a good d in front, even if we give up some goal scoring/scorers to get there. Allison looks great, reminds me of Knuble a bit in the positioning, Better skater than expected even coming off the injuries and short seasons. Probably wishful thinking but York could end up the #1 LHD down the road here. If Myers and Hayes can rebound and we address the RHD this team can at least contend again but nothing means anything without that D man. Seth Jones Please........ - GPerogie
Given what I saw from Zamula this year, and the upside of York and Attard, I would not be opposed to trading Ghost and either Sanheim or Myers for a player like Ekholm. I think the Flyers need to get more physical and experienced on the backend and I think trading for and signing Ekholm would be a nice move if Nashville was willing to deal him. |

People always throw his stats out there and say that they look good, but people need to watch the games. Jake could be a much better player if he had a hockey IQ and wasn't lazy at times(many times). I'm tired of watching him do loopty loops in the offensive zone and beating the same player 4 times on the same play. Then the defenders take the puck away and off they go on an odd man rush cause he's too tired to back check. Or he tries one of the lazy/dumb cross seam passes that inevitably get intercepted and off to the races the other team goes. I think he has lots of skill, but due to the factors mentioned above he will never come close to realizing his full potential. Thanks again!!

And the thing is, Jake can take shorter shifts, he did it last season and the team was better. Jake can shoot the puck more and when he does he scores goals. He just doesn't want to do it, and that is what is so maddening about him. The team will be much better without a player like Jake! |

No one wants Ghost for free let alone giving value back. You'd have to take some other teams problem to move him.
Why would you trade Sanheim for an older, more expensive D that slots in similarly? Sanheim will be a 2-3 D and the Flyers control his rights at the moment. Unless you're fixing a bigger hole there's no reason to do this. Maybe if it was part of a package for Seth Jones then you'd convince me.
Myers needs more time to bake and see what we have. Maybe more maturity will help his decision making because he has all the physical tools.

The quietest 1 goal and 8 assists in the entire history of the NHL. So funny how people throw his stats out there yet the eye test is akin to watching an elephant take a giant shyte!! - Phillywhiteout
if you used the eye test, you would know he wasnt invisible. Funny how people just throw stuff out of their ass and get defensive when called on it |

I don't know much about how deep the draft is, but if it isn't and I had choose from your list, I'd go C. Trading down you can acquire more picks and this team needs all the help it can get. |

I think the skating for many of our prospects gets prejudiced by the fact that the Flyers just do not draft players whose strong point is skating. For whatever reason (probably Clarke/Holmgren related) they prefer knuckle draggers...... |

It is really this simple they have never given G and Jake a team to compete with, so I don’t know what value jake can bring to a really good team. This year they still needed to lean in them to much. What could they both do playing 2nd line where the other team couldn’t focus on them? Losing jakes salary is one thing, losing his skill is another |

Guess you're new here? I didn't pull anything out of my ass. The truth is that many folks that know the game of hockey want Jakey out of here. Oh, and who is getting defensive. I gave my opinion and you have yours. Another internet tough guy that can't handle when someone else has an opinion that varies from their own.

I dont disagree with you that I would like the flyers to part ways with Jake, but to call him invisible is just disingenuous and not true. He is producing fairly well points wise for his age. Obviously theres other parts to the game besides producing points where he isn't doing well enough at. But he certainly is not invisible. |
