i had 2 java head beers and 2 glasses of the nolet's.

i was up and down at blackjack. sometimes i had a ton of chips in front of me and sometimes my uncle gerry was passing me a stack because he saw i had like 4 left.

Meh, the scouting staff hasn't really changed in YEARS. It's easy to pin it on MB, but if his scouting info had been the same as over the last 10+ years? That's not all on him.

The direction of the team and wasting assets / picks in the first 5 years is 100% on MB. His unwillingness to get rid of dead wood - whether in management or on the ice - is completely on him. Signing Alzner and Price and all those other stupid contracts is 100% on him.

Drafting an 18-year old kid that does not pan out is not 100% on him, but he does set the direction of what he wants to draft (and has spent time scouting those early pick players himself) - and even if they did pick the consensus best players with every pick - there is never a guarantee they will pan out.

Blame Timmins and the scouting all you want - MB has always had the power to change the people or the direction of the organization at any point.
