Juiciness is a huge factor, especially if you have a good broth to dip it in. I always make a roasted broth after any turkey dinner. Roasted bones make a huge difference in flavour depth.

If you have the, time and patience after a roast chicken or turkey? Double roast the bones with mire-pois. (Carrots, celery and onions.) Add garlic, the celery leaves (assuming the grocers didn't trim them all off) to the roasted veg, and simmer for a minimum of 4 hours. Better than any chicken stock you'll buy.

Yeah, well I do have a reason.

Once my 14-year-old nephew got his last chemo therapy, and his hair started to grow back, we made a promise to get our next hair cut together.

Covid kinda put a damper on that happening already, but we are both rocking the wild hair - his forever enshrined in the school yearbook - and the plan is still in place, once things calm down a little more.

And yeah, I love the shorter hair, takes 30 seconds to fix it in the morning.

Dude, you're awesome. Then grow it out, then donate it to a local cancer charity, if your cousin can wait. Win-win. You're awesome no matter what you do. Family trumps all.

Yeah, I am way over the minimum 8 inches for that to happen. The border to Ontario is closed right now (still I think), so I got more time, too.

Anyways, that was the plan.

Honestly the 1st or second round would be great. If the Habs don't make it past round 1, then fine. (Gag)

yup, beating the laffs would definitely be surpassing expectations, or EDM for that matter.

If both teams make it, AND they're healthy? Who knows. As long as the Leafs don't win the Cup first.

This game was another troubling sign. Toronto exerted zero effort for the first 30 minutes and still easily managed to prevail. While we may have some of the core back for the playoffs, it seems we will also be playing a stronger Maple Leafs team in the playoffs. My Toronto colleagues tell me Andersen, Foligno, Hyman, Sandin and Nash will be dressed for game one, with Bogosian expected to return few games later. It seems significant injuries to a few of their top players will be needed to extend the series beyond 5 or 6 games.

Management also seems to be sharing this sentiment. They are exhibiting an embarrassing lack faith. While most other teams either have vaccinated or are vaccinating their players and essential staff in preparation for border crossings, Molson and Bergevin appear to be avoiding this necessary step. Time is running out with it currently taking a minimum of 28-days to complete inoculation. It will be interesting to find out tomorrow how the players feel about this decision.

It would send a message to other players like free agents that they can't trust the word of Montreal management. They might sign elsewhere
thanks Karine. about this

I don’t know for sure if, as reported, Eric Staal only agreed to lift his no movement clause to come to Montreal because he made Bergevin promise him that he would not be a healthy scratch, but enough with the gentleman agreement.

let's say this is true (and if it is, I'm completely baffled by it)... what happens then if Ducharme actually benches him? what would be Staal's leverage, does he have some sort of compromising pictures involving Bergevin and DD? lol

Hains: Could Have Been Much Worse

A depleted Habs line-up held its own against the North division champions Toronto Maple Leafs, but lost 3-2 after a valiant effort.

There is only 1 word to describe the Habs and I’m going to spell it out for you. S-A-W-F-T

I saw him hitting someone. Also nice pass to Tatar but Tatar decided to pass the shooting opportunity. I stop watching after the Kulak’s goal.
