Pretty sure there is a good chance he stays if it is left up the Drury. Wasn't it Drury who lobbied to get Quinn on board? Wouldn't make sense for him to can him unless Dolan interferes. |

Quinn has probably been asking for the types of players we all recognize needs to be added. He preaches that North/South game so it does line up. |

The problem is players like Zib, Buch, Panarin and Strome aren't going to change their ways. They are who they are. I don't see all of those players being moved lol |

Dolan isn't interfering. He fired who he wanted to fire, and now it's Drury's team until Dolan fires him one day. Like Brooks said. Quinn's fate will probably rest on what the exit meetings tell Drury. |

A coach may have a system in play, but the players skill sets will also dictate the style of play. If Quinn expects Zib and Bread to dump and chase, he's a fuuucking idiot, so I doubt he's saying that. |

Buch makes the most sense. His value will never be higher and I just don't know if they want to pay him 7 million plus in another year.
Strome I guess all depends if they add another top 6 center |

Let's hope Drury sees the need for some changes without gutting the team.
I like Strome's game these days. But I can easily see him becoming an odd man out with the acquisition of a tougher center. |

no doubt in my mind Eichel is the target now
Strome can be moved in a separate deal to help that happen

Strome, Lundkvist (once signed) , a first and 2 2nds for Eichel.
Has Eichel's injury brought his value down to around the above proposal? |

In this situation, which I think will happen regardless, to avoid having to deal with multiple lines that dont seem to be on the same page you consolidate the lines. I think Buch and Strome are done here, opening up the 1RW and 2C which I think is something we all kinda thought might happen. If were worried about the E/W style of play than stick Panarin, Zib, Krav on a line together and let them have at it. If you cant change them, then just let em play their game together and let it be. From then on down the line up you can make those adjustments and changes that make this team more N/S, more physical and difficult to deal with. |

It would be funny getting Nils all excited about signing to trade him to Buffalo

Probably not, but Im so fking pissed that this what theyre targeting. This kid takes one heavy check that snaps his neck and hes gonna be done for a while again.
If this is the move they want, if theyre willing to take on a 10m center, then fk it go for Barkov. It'll probably be expensive, we might have to trade a piece we wont want, but Id be willing to start a trade package with Miller, Chytil & Buchnevich for him. |

I wonder if that plays into it, like his agent goes he is not signing unless you can guarantee he won't be traded this offseason |

No doubt and I don't feel like Quinn has tried to stifle those players. In fact they have had their best years. The problem comes in the rebuild at to the make up of this bottom six.
Had there been a normal AHL season some of these guys would have played bigger minutes down there instead of trying to be worked in. But that is a confluence of event that got JD and JG dismissed.

Quinn has to go. He did a slightly above average job (like Gorton) but it's time to light a fire under this team. His managing of players ice times and roles was maddening at times.
Maybe I'm crazy but I wouldn't mind seeing Messier as a bench boss with Kris Knoblauch as his primary assistant (grooming him for an eventual head coaching career). |

If we are going by history of youngest teams in the league, lots of rookies, I'd say Quinn has done a damn good job compared to other teams rebuilding. Thats my 2 cents |
