JD and Torts to Buffalo? Is it worth putting any stock into this?

If this happens, you think JD will give Dolan the ..!., and tell him he will never trade Eichel to the Rangers? OR if he does, knowing how desperately Dolan wants Eichel undresses the franchise for pieces? Or do they not trade Eichel at all and Eichel sees JD and Torts as a possible changing of culture in Buffalo.

I certainly don’t have the answers there. But, I would put money on JD showing class in whatever it is he does.

Joey Keane debuted for Carolina last night, actually had more TOI than Brady Skjei

Gauthier for Keane may be one that comes back to haunt us a bit down the road

but Keane still wouldn't be ahead of Lundqvist, Schneider, Jones on our depth chart

the one thing that sucks is that Keane is still exempt from expansion draft while Gauthier isn't

Yea I think trading Keane was the right idea but for the wrong player. Should’ve been for a center not another finesse winger. We have 89 of those

IF JD goes to Buffalo, and IF the Rangers wanted Eichel, you know Schneider would need to be part of the package

Have you guys discussed Luke Schenn? Tough as nails and is a UFA after this season. has a 800K cap hit.

At the time of the trade, the Rangers didnt have Laf yet and CK20 was in his last year of his contract.

Its unlikely Tampa lets him walk, hes exactly the kind of player that they need on the roster to keep the cap numbers down. They havent resigned him yet so they dont have to waste a protection on him. He will likely resign with them once expansion draft is done.

You never know, he's exactly the player we need too. Just dreaming I guess.

Edit: Imagine, Trouba and Schenn on the same d corps.

As discussed, there will be so many contracts signed the day after the Draft.

Remember that trade was made prior to winning the LaFreniere lottery and Kravtsov coming over. We dealt from our defensive surplus to obtain another winger, which was an organizational weakness at the time. No regrets.

My prediction:

After lunch today the Rangers will thank Quinn for his 3 years here and DISMISS him.

The only way I can see him coming back is if he was demanding gritty players and JD and Gorton flat out said no.

Shocking how bad the Flyers turned out to be. I didn't see that coming! Not upset about it though.

We have a mathematical chance of moving all the way up to first.
10 spot Rule doesn't start until NEXT year.
