Other than Pods....Lind and Gadj have outside chances. Maybe Lockwood. I think we're seeing everyone that has a chance this year. I got a little sad yesterday looking at the prospects depth chart. - canucksfan1944
Other than juolevi, rathbone, woo, lockwood, macewen, pettersson, boeser, hughes, lind, demko, dipietro and gadjovic there's barely any young guys likely to make the team next year. Oh and podz, but that's still only 13/23 roster spots. It's like, where are these kids you've been drafting, ya know?!
Forgot hoglander... but just because more than half the team next year will be draft picks, doesn’t mean we built through the draft. |

More likely be Sam Reinhart. - VanHockeyGuy
I think he's gonna be their next Captain unless they really cheap out in negotiations this summer. |

Hopefully they get these Canadian Vaccine Passports going soon. It should make travel a lot easier, once things get going again. |

Regardless of how (frank)ed Buffalo is, he is their star player and leader. He has failed just as much as his organization has. And now he is injured Amd constantly complaining. No idea who will take on that awful contract. Imo he has negative value - CanuckDon
Yeah, he's only a point per game player on the worst team in the league, what a failure |

Well we definitely didn't build much through trading. Overall our free agent signings have turned out to be handcuffs. So what's left to defend?

Oh don't get me wrong, lots have made the team. I've been a benning supporter.
Woo is meh
Lockwood is meh
Zac mac is meh
gadj is meh
OJ I think will be solid
rathbone will be solid
Pod will be solid
I think Jasek gets a look next year

Someone’s going to take that chance with him, he’s still young and has a lot to prove. Give him some decent wingers a watch him go. Didn’t he turn Skinner into a 9 mil player? |

Yeah, assuming he can get past the current injury issues, Eichel is going to have a great career. He is a top 10 forward in the league when he's healthy, to suggest otherwise is silly. |

I mean, McDavid will have only led his team to the post-season for the second time this year out of 6 seasons. Pretty big failure too. |

I think you guys have had a raw deal this year with the schedule. Brutal from start to finish.
Considering that you have done OK in my view, I don't think major changes are required - Rang

Heard the first was garbage, don't feel optimistic about the 2nd after watching that.
It's such a shame because Venom and Carnage are 2 of the best Marvel villains - NorthNuck
Very true. Again if you can disassociate yourself from the books it's not all that bad. But it's unfortunate they didn't follow the proper Marvel timelines and character developments. |

Canucks need a top to bottom management change, aside from Ian Clark.
Also, don't think Green will be pushing the boys too much, they're going to start to get the young guys in (Gadj and Lockwood coming up) so I don't think they're going to be doing much.
I say 2-5 over the next 7, put themselves 28th OA and move up to the number 2 pick - NewYorkNuck

That would be neat if it was true. Eichel scored at a .85 pace this season and he is the 13th highest paid player in the league. 57 players produced at a higher PPG clip. That’s good value to you? Yikes man |

Most of those guys you named will be competing with each other for the same spots. So no, they ain’t all making it next year.
I think the point he was making was beyond they guys who are pushing for spots there’s not much more en route. There’s a bit of a valley in prospects from the past mountain until the next hill top. |

I was a comic book guy in my youth, especially between the ages of 7-12. Saved most of my collection to pass along to my kids, which I have. Video games are the only thing that I’ve kept going from my youth. Well, that and masturbation.
Funny to think that when I was young comic book were considered trash literature and now teachers see comics as a legitimate learning tool to get kids into reading. How times have changed. - bloatedmosquito
lol
And as it should be. The naive and the uninitiated will always look down on 'comics' as they just associate them with kids stuff from the past. Some of today's best artwork and literature come from some of the best graphic novels over the past 40 years. Dark Knight Returns, Watchmen, Hellblazer, Sandman, V for Vendetta just to name a few. Alan Moore, Frank Miller, Neil Gaiman (who's is a top level novelist) Garth Ennis and so many others have won major awards for their literature and rightfully so. Neil Gaiman was the first to win the World Fantasy award (normally reserved for novelists) for his epic work in the original Sandman run. A lot are 18+ mature titles mind you but many award winners like Ed Brubaker for example (Daredevil and Captain America) stand on their own with their epic runs. It's not just for kids anymore it's like 31 flavours now something for everyone.
But for the narrow-minded (not you obviously) it's easy to poke and prod and dismiss it as childs stuff..when really it's some of the best literature and artwork ever created. Just need to open the mind a little bit. |

My GF is a Professor of Literature and Poetry at a college down here, and one of her classes is completely on graphic novels and comics as literature/contemporary writing. - NewYorkNuck
Outstanding good to see. A great friend of mine taught Music and Literature at U of C in Calgary and when I introduced Neil Gaiman's Sandman to her...and she started including it in her teachings. Great stuff. |

You want to extrapolate from 21 games to determine if his contract is good value? talk about an overreaction, not to mention he's been injured.
Elite players don't grow on trees, and it's clear from watching him when he's on his game that he possesses something that not very many players have. Is he overpaid? Maybe a little, but that doesn't change the fact that any NHL team would take him at that price. |

I never said he wasn’t a good player. I said he isn’t a leader and his contract has negative value. Pretty substantial difference 🤷♂️
