Rangers let Quinn go and clean house.

They haven't announced it. It sounds like it will be a messed up schedule. 3 divisions will probably start the playoffs while the North will still be playig the regular season.

Varlamov not participating with main #Isles group at first playoff practice. ISorokin and Schneider the goalies. Usual lines and D-pairs, so Komarov sticks with Barzal/Eberle, Pageau w/ Palmieri and Wahlstrom. Extra line is Zajac, Johnston, Dal Colle. Coburn/Hickey the extra Ds.

We'll see -- there's still plenty of time until the weekend and it seems liken nobody has any idea as to when the game is going to be so I see no reason to rush him into skating just yet. No reason he can't skate Friday/Saturday if the game is Sunday (or later)

It would be a little easier to see if they could score a little more frequently and consistently. But yeah, Varly is the starter no matter what.

Yeah barring a Hamburgler performance you are correct. Curious to see what lineup trotz throws out there? He’ll probably stick with what we’ve seen recently but he did mix up the first line quite a bit last game with Palmieri and Beau seeing some time on there instead of Komarov even after he got out of the box. I fully expect to see Komarov on there don’t get me wrong but I think there’s a slight chance we don’t.

"I don't have any concerns that he's not going to be ready for the series."

Well, that's what we figured. I do think that lineup makes me look at the acquisition of Palmieri in a less positive light. When we acquired him, I doubt anyone was anticipating that Leo would remain on the top line through the playoffs. The team needed a talent to help ease the loss of Anders on the top line and instead added someone to play on the third line, which really hasn't been that great since. Pageau has two even strength goals since the trade deadline. Palmieri has one. I would have liked to have seen Kyle get a longer look with Barzal and Ebs than a couple of shifts.
