Guys like Nash were the reason the Leafs had trouble scoring last playoffs.
They are just so (frank)ing boring but they somehow shut you down. - Santo_44

If McD is playing huge minutes I would hope we’re not matching him with a 4th line. |

Oh, and Seth Jones - Canada Cup
Yeah he helped but the constant gushing over him every 2 mins was far overblown.
Its a team game and it takes much more than one player to execute a system. |

I don't know if this has been mentioned already, but I read on Twitter last night that the Toronto Rock are moving to Hamilton.
I've never been to a game, but this still feels like a bummer to me.

Still keeping "Toronto" in the name, though.
I doubt that will help ticket sales. |

I'm sure Nash was happy that Jones helped contain Matthews |

I mean there is proof(Seth Jones on the ice or not) that Nash has no problems having the opposition rarely score a goal when he is on the ice.
Idk if you are trying to say Nash needs Seth Jones to be effective...I am just saying Nash is good at making the other team not score...one of the best on the NHL in fact.
He wont score but if you need to defend a lead Nash and Foligno is as good as it comes for that. |

As someone who has held Toronto Rock season tickets who lives in Waterdown (which is considered a part of stupid Hamilton) and HATES the irritation of the packed Go Train to and from Rock games, this is GREAT for us! |

Price has lacked consistency the last few years. Which gave him pretty average stats during the regular season.
But when he's on his game. He's still insane. - Scabeh
Yeah, umm, we know that when Price is on his game, he's one of the best in the world.
We just need to focus on playing our game.
Getting pucks in deep, and winning those battles.
Get pucks to the net with traffic in front, and be first to the rebounds.

Agreed. If you look at some of the best Penalty Killing forwards in different metrics from last season, Engvall and Mikheyev show up a lot in shot & chance suppression, but so do Nash & Foligno. Living life under a strict defensive coach like Torts can only help with guys who play with a two-way sense like Foligno and Nash (well, Nash is more one-way the other way, but the point remains . . .). Our PK is 24th in the league. Nash & Foligno can hopefully with that in the playoffs. |

Yes, he'd be lucky for a team like Toronto to take a chance on him and take him off Kekalainen's hands. |

Honestly, I'm not so sure.
It's a different city now with the Raptors being so popular. They've taken the interest of a lot of the younger crowd.
My daughter says the Raptors are more popular at her high school than the Leafs. - Atomic Wedgie
I don’t think it’s close with the young crowd...it’s Raptors hands down here in Milton. My daughter mentions that being a Leaf fan is not cool at her schools, “Boomers like the Leafs” she says, like the Silent Generation likes the Jays.” “Most kids our age could care less about the Jays.”
