Seriously Codes, I ya man, but the only people bringing this up as an excuse is a select few that feel the need to mock Benning and excuses that nobody has used.

I still don’t care. Never wanted to trade for him, not sorry he didn’t sign. My problem is that The Canucks *wanted* to sign him but couldn’t, because they didn’t have space.

how is this lost on people? JB did not trade for him just to let him walk.

i don't buy that he was brought in solely because BB was hurt. sure that was absolutely a major factor but it is undeniable that they would not pay the price they did to have him solely for a rental.

the fact that they did not offer him a contract shows their ineptitude not their deft handling of players.

Water under the bridge now. Funny how a guy who's a "slow skater" piles up the points like that . He was a perfect fit for this team. An opportunity missed, move on. The concerning part is i'm not convinced the organization learned anything.

My buddy had sent me screen shots from reddit and Twitter regarding the covid excuse. I'm not on either platform, but I can tell you, it's very much real outside of hockeybuzz. It blew my mind, cause like you said, I've only seen one or two people in here use it, which I thought was isolated too

I think the only two that I have really complained about the Canucks drafting over the years was Hughes and him better being "the best smurf ever" and Joni Jurmo who I would have been ok with past round 5. Both of whom seem to have real issues defensively.

Facebook was showing me articles about how Green needs an extension. Everybody on Facebook thinks that the on ice play is not Green's fault that he can't make the players look half decent, it's Benning.
