I actually didn't hate the one in Toronto - it was a great place to watch an important game, where the whole bar was watching.
I remember they had grilled cheese sandwiches for two or three bucks - always good to grab one or two just before you left.
It was about the only thing on the menu I would touch.
IIRC, the one in Montreal had spaghetti and red sauce for $1.99 - Atomic Wedgie
I loved the Loose Moose and the atmosphere there for games. Unfortunately for _me_, I had a terrible record there. I think I watched 10 straight losses there, including Canada losing to Sweden and Joseph losing his job as the team's goalie, before I finally did see the Leafs win a game.

Our softball league played down at Coronation Park and afterwards most of the teams would migrate to Peel Pub (some teams were sponsored by the Wheat Sheaf, but as they broke up for the night, the night owls and drunks would stagger over to Peel Pub to merge with the rest of us drunks).
I lived a 10 minute walk away and was in my later 20's / early 30's . . . so I really didn't have to worry too much about consumption and subsequently getting home. Not to mention at that age, hangovers were never a problem. The wings were the smallest you could find, and the beer was mostly wet - but if you had enough of the beer, the wings seemed fine, and each subsequent pitcher seemed better. - Monkeypunk
Which one are we referring to here?
There was one on King West, west of University - in the Old Mirvish Warehouse building.
But IIRC, there was also one on College, west of University - across the street from U of T. Maybe???

I saw the 2002 gold medal game at the Madison.
It was a franking zoo.
We ended up chatting with a couple of guys in USA jerseys - they were honestly a bit scared, until we told them they had nothing to worry about.

Mitch Marner on Frederik Andersen's return tonight:
"He's worked his butt off to get back into the shape where he thinks he's the best possible goalie he can be and we're excited for that and we're excited for him."

That was a good one. My work group and I were all around 30 at the time, and we arranged to get a different Canada jersey each for the Olympics. I got Shanahan, my wife got Joseph; but friends got Yzerman, Blake, Sakic, Lindros, Pronger, Nolan, Nieuwendyk, Kariya, Iginla, Jovanovski . . . I can't remember who else. We had a no Lemieux rule because everyone wanted his.
For the Gold Medal game we got together at one of the guy's places and played some ball hockey and then ordered food.

I was at that game.
Loudest Leafs game I've ever been to.
The second Nieuwendyk goal didn't even matter. The Sens were done after the first one, and everyone in the building, including the Sens knew it. - Atomic Wedgie
Leafs definitely rented space in the Sens heads in those playoff series'.

I started the season wanting Dorion and Smith to make sure all the young guys got the bulk of the ice time. I was unhappy over Formenton not being included on the opening night roster, Brannstrom being sent down and Zub not dressing. I was highly agitated by the inclusion of too many designated pylons in the line up.
We can wonder if we had started the season with all the kids in the lineup. Perhaps, we might have made a strong run at an even better result, made the playoffs, won a first round.

That was 2004, right? That game was while we were in Cuba getting married. We arrived a week in advance of everyone (a friend had said that they did a destination wedding and it was a little depressing when everyone left and they spent a week together after and the place felt empty), and ended up watching games 6 & 7 with a group from Ottawa. That game was great for us!

What's going on with the 3 eyed defenseman Brannstrom? He was a big part of the Stone trade. Is he underachieving?
