Since we are are talking g 2021 Draft and bloodlines, how about Kirby dash's "little" brother or Riley's brother :
Chase Stillman
Corey’s son and younger brother of Riley who plays in the Chicago Blckhawk's system, is an impressive package of speed, skill and hockey sense. Plays for his father’s Sudbury Wolves. Corey is the Wolve's head coach. Chase received no power play or penalty kill time with the team in his first year. Displays strong puck skills, effective edging, and defensive commitment. Doesn’t over-think his offensive side, sticking to more simple offensives plays, but more than willing to cause devastation with chains of rolling forechecks to take back pucks. Has excellent lateral movement and will pull off the wall quicker than the pile. Uses tight turns in scrums and will cutaway from the opposition while gliding away. Strong recognition and defensive commitments where he picks up the open man and gets between the attackers and his goalie. Works his bags off, and plays big. His open ice acceleration and and top gear will need some improvement. A trench type player who forced more ice time on a veteran OHL club. 2020 was his first OHL season and didn't miss a beat. Was a member of the Canada’s 2021 IIHF Under-18 World Championship team.

You will find few written lines about Colton Dach, and I am thinking that is by design...the teams are tight lipped because there is potential there.

Colton Dach

Kirby’s l’il brother is a big left winger who puts hit head down and drives to the net. At this juncture isn’t finished developing his acceleration and top gear, but he gets there, and when he does, he hits and finishes his checks. He is a dominant board player who is literally able to knock defenseman down in puck battles. His puck control is also very good, and is very difficult to move off the puck. A smart offensive zone player who never throws away possessions. Effective offensively, but still in the developmental stage. He will cut sharply en route to the front and find a small space where pucks opportunistically find him. Finds pucks sneaking out of traffic. From the cycle down low, he will steam out to the post. Will shoot towards the goalie’s far side pad to create rebounds to the low slot. He is hard on the back check. Hit opponents with frequency. He will drop the gloves. Posssesses strong puck control. Still a work in progresses there is effective offensive ability but it needs to improve.

Let's not forget Mason McTavish either:
This big strong shoot-first heavy bodied centre has soft hands and a good feel for the puck on both the forehand and backhand. Cuts in and over with deft crossovers and use his heavy accurate shot when the puck comes back to him. His one-timer is a beauty, can score from tough angles, and he puts mustard on his passes. Reads his teammates and slices through coverages in and out of traffic. Plays in one gear: quick. Hard on the puck and scored impressive goals by picking the top and bottom corners of the net. Dauntless in his desire to cross through the high traffic in front to try and finish. Works as hard on the penalty-kill as he does as an attacker. Another horse =who goes where he wants and sets up and isn't deterred by defenders attempting to challenge him. Was a member of the Canada’s 2021 IIHF Under-18 World Championship team, and I cannot remember him losing a draw. A terrific two-way player who is one of the safest picks in the top half of the first round.

Where is Colton Dach projected to go in the draft? Top 6 potential? Sounds like the type of power wing the Hawks desperately need in the Top 6.

Only thing I was thinking is the suit should be a lot more than $150k for a guy like him, he was established?
- rpeters01

I was thinking the same, you would think it would be for a heck of a lot more than $150K, weird, the whole thing is just weird.

we had 47 contracts at the end of the year. we have 5 signed for next year and I count at least 5 that are not coming back. smith, pirri, lindholm, tompkins, josh Richardson. then you have Vinnie and Q as UFA. Maybe chalupa goes back to EU. doubtful he gets $925K there. we also lose 1 in the EXP draft but we are pretty tight on contracts. Lukas R, Max S, Damir Z if the package deal happens. the galvas and slavin signings I might have waited on.

The lawsuit is for an amount in excess of $150,000. I think that amount is a placeholder at this point.

He might have had a clean record up to that point. Why does everyone jump to the conclusion that they missed (or covered up) something.

Agree.

Also let's collectively tap the breaks on speculation or judgement. The accuser always want to get this info out there. The accused, whether innocent or guilty, does not want to make a statement that could be used against him. Even if the accused has been convicted or admitted to past crimes, it does not mean that he is guilty of new accusations. We also do not know what the Hawk organization knew or how they acted. We just don't know. We should be smart enough and experienced enough to have seen many examples of false accusations (or some accusations that are true to some degree but greatly exaggerated) and many examples of completely true accusations. There are also many unreported crimes where the victims are unwilling to come forward and make it public. Let it be decided by settlement or in the court of law. At the very least lets wait.

Kind of. Didn't the Hawks release him to go to the Swiss League or something like that?

But waiting would mean that the other kids in class get to be first expressing their outrage!

the next CBA wouldn't allow you to send a full players contract to the AHL. also limited front loading of contracts to 50%. IE not like keith and hossa.

They paid his salary but there was no cap hit
for shipping him across the pond and burying him at that time. The league closed that loophole soon afterwards.

In response to Angotti, Uncle Dale signed him to that deal. He sure does like signing goalies to big contracts.

It was not disclosed. The only thing that was divulged was that there were some games where they did things to make it feel great, and others where it felt horrible.

Borgström had a pretty good year in Europe, is he definitively out of the WC, or is it still up in the air?
