We agree to disagree. Maybe if Brind'amour doesn't stay, we can poach him
- airjan23

Canes aren't letting him go, though. I had same mind-thought, but it was just wishful thinking.

My guess is Gallant, but there's the question if he still has the heart to coach anymore?

I wouldn't mind Torts back. Hell, if just for the port game bouts with Uncle Larry at the Post

Huge overreaction by Dolan but I'm not surprised everything he touches turns to poop, I hope Dolan hires Messier It will be fun to watch the wheels fall off quickly.

Statiscally they still progressed under the severe odd circumstances, defense was lights years improved, top 10 team in goal differential in the toughest division, no telling where they would have finished under normal circumstances of an 82 game season with a natural schedule, also take into account a slow starting Mika because of Covid and Panarin taking a leave

DQ did a fine job as the head coach. Sure, he had his deficiencies, but the positives outweighed the negatives from a holistic sense. I would say he smashed it out of the park with something that is overlooked because it does not directly effect results on the ice: professionalism. So key for building a foundation of character for a young team.

Rebuild culture is officially over. The foundation has been set. Time to win. We have the right pieces and it will be fun to see where Drury takes this team next.

Hands off Jan.

I'm glad he held out to make sure the entire training staff got extensions though. Pretty cool stuff.

Kevyn Adams says Eichel remains in the timeline for the conservative rehab approach.

BIG NOTE: He says Eichel's camp has suggested a surgery that has never been done before on an NHL player. Sabres doctors are not comfortable with that.

It HAS been done on MMA fighters and they've come back just fine though. no reason to believe it would be detrimental to an NHLer. Certainly better than fusing discs together and limiting motion.

Im an operating room nurse and have seen those surgeries. I wouldnt want to be the franchise that has to cross their fingers and hope that he recovers back to tip top form.

On top of that, how long are we willing to wait for the conservative method?

What if we wait a year, he comes back plays 10 games and aggravates the herniated disc? Do we then go for surgery? Whats the time table then?

So what, we wait 2 years potentially to get him back on the ice? Not knowing if he will ever be 100%.

I'm not sure he's the perfect option, but Boudreau makes a hell of a lot of sense. Wins a lot of games and can take a team to the next level. His teams typically have an edge to their game, too. Just has a difficult time winning in the playoffs...
