I mean, you’ve all seen what Cole Caufield is doing, right?
He’s special, man. For real. He’s got that it factor. I’ve only seen it in a few guys in the league. He’s got it. And he’s also — no lie here — the funniest kid I’ve ever met. He’s always cracking jokes at practice and loves to laugh at himself. He’s just so excited to be in the NHL, you can see it. He still gets all wide-eyed when Carey or Webs talks to him, and I can see him get a little nervous when he’s talking to Corey Perry. I swear he’s going to say, “Yes, sir, Mr. Perry,” one day.

Is that mindset scoring goals?
Because yeah, that's a great mindset.

Gonna go Debbie downer for a second but every one of MB's moves in the offseason have worked out really well and yet this is the result. Can't imagine what it'd be like with Domi over Anderson, no Eddie, no Allen and no Toffoli. The team we enjoyed in the bubble last year would have been down closer to Ottawa with less long term hope |

yeah
it's only an article, but judging by his comments (which isn't just "the habs have such a great history, bla bla bla") he really wants to be here, which is always a plus |

We'd be looking at a possible Owen Power draft for Montreal.

Well Price had a rough start to the season.
Was excellent in March.
Got injured afterwards.
So really an up and down season for him as well.

Debate about the current belief in his superstar status aside, I'd agree. That said every team deals with injuries and the Habs have to know by now Price seems to deal with one or two injuries each year, sometimes with term, so I don't really accept that excuse. It is what it is, my point is simply, to give MB some credit, they're in the playoffs because of his offseason moves and only because of that. The roster going into the season was all his but he made big changes that worked. But damn the team without those changes would have been awful |

We really, really would. I legit think it's possible they'd have finished below the Sens |

I don't even consider it as an excuse, my point wasn't to put the blame on Price instead of Bergevin, just saying if he could've stayed healthy for once and play as he did in the bubble playoffs they might have clinched a playoff spot way earlier. Weber's downhill play obviously didn't help either

I hear you. I guess my point is injuries happen to every team, it's a physical game. Eggs put in Price's and Weber's baskets can no longer be counted until they hatch sadly |

it's not Price fault the team could rarely score more than 1 or 2 goals per game from february to May |

and Price has been injured wayyy more often than the average goalie, I hope they're at the point where they realize they can't count on him to be a full-time #1 anymore... it would be hard to come to another conclusion lol

I agree and I'm not blaming Price at all. Just saying his superstar status currently is debatable at his age and he's shown theast several years he's likely to get hurt. Price has held up enough garbage teams the last decade, he gets no blame from me, but I'm not going to hide from reality either |

Hard to afford a solution to that problem and it brings us back to square one. None of that is Price's fault. MB's made the bed that is the current Habs roster, top to (frank)ing bottom |

he is more vulnerable to injuries, that's for sure. The part where I want to see Price top shape and performing at this highest level....the playoffs, let's see what he can do this year. |
