It's just a lack of a good roster. If they felt they could rely on the rest of the team to hold their own, they wouldn't be doing "too much". I'm sure we've all played sports on a bad team and we don't feel we could win if we didn't put the team on our back.

At times yes but great players will make other players around them better.

Unfortunately Miller and Bo can't make the entire bottom 6 better

They don't seem to make the top 6 better either.

At least one member of the New York Rangers front office is seemingly not happy with all of the major changes made in the past two weeks. The New York Post’s Larry Brooks reports that Hall of Famer Brian Leetch has resigned from his advisor role with the hockey operations department in New York. The move comes on the heels of President John Davidson, GM Jeff Gorton, and head coach David Quinn and his staff all being fired in recent days.

Next GM of the Vancouver Canucks right there.

BB should certainly be available for the right price. That said JB shouldn't be the one trading him.
- VanHockeyGuy

In that context everyone's available. But it doesn't mean that good price equals team improvement.

Why? They will fit perfectly in to the 975K per player bottom 6 that is needed to challenge for a cup...lol

This whole year was a right off from the start, next season , with some normalcy back , we'll be fine. I really think Podz is going to shine. QH needs a defensive minded partner ASAP.
Come training camp Coach Cull will have the boys a jumping 😎

Sam Gagner has as many points this season as Beagle, Virtanen and Hawryluk combined. In 47 less games.

How about Ryan Spooner?

Is JT Miller too involved in the play now without Petey? 3 Penalties away from last season's total in 20 less games.

8 more give aways and 24 less take aways in 21 less games this season.

He’s a better winger than he is a C.

Valiant effort from the boys. Man I can’t wait for the draft and free agency. Another top pick and some money/roster space freed up for Benning to re-tool this squad

Green or Cull, either of them I’m okay with

Benning is on record stating he needs 2 more years for the team to be competitive. So they'll probably be close in the standings, unless SEA duplicates the LV playoff run.

NYR received permission to speak to Gallant. A good example not to have your coach be a lame duck as long as Green.

Benning is on record saying lots of things and stuff and good for our club and we have a foundational player in Sutter. Didn't he say we could turn the team around quick. He has the worst winning pct of probably almost every gm we've had in the modern era. I've been through some dark days as a fan but holy crap this team lacks direction from the top down.

The one advantage Seattle will have is that they can plan their bad contracts to take advantage of other teams need. They likely won’t be worse than Anaheim, LA, NJ or Vancouver as a team (it will be actual NHL players). Vancouver is bound to rebound a bit. You know, with a more normal schedule, nobody getting Covid and a new coach.

I said Vegas would be better. They were. I’m saying Vancouver will finish ahead of Seattle in the standings, but not by much.
