It looks like another summer of players/personnel being left in the dark.
It's fine to be secretive with the press, however you need to be transparent with your staff. I don't believe the Canucks are doing this because they don't have the foresight.

I wonder if GM’s around the league will look at this situation and decide to hire Green thinking Benning is an idiot and if he had iced a better team Green would have been successful, or if they will say playoff Bubble, the team is solid, Green failed as a coach?

I think they'll call JB and ask for Loui 1st then tell JB they'll settle on Bo in a deal. JB will think he won cause it wasn't the first ask and he was negotiating. Genius Lloyd sheer genius!

I don’t get why people want to take an elite player at one position and turn them into an average player at a different one.

It's commonplace to grasp at straws and come up with goofy scenarios when the club is struggling. I never understood the call to make Miller a C either. Play him to his strengths. But this rallying Cry for Bo-Miller-Petey down the middle for 3 line 'depth' never made any sense.
The team will be much better next season with the addition of Podkolzin and McTavish, up front and Jake McCabe and Ryan Murray on defense, along with the return of Elias, for half a season.
