Hearing #SeaKraken are planning to interview free agent coach Rick Tocchet. He would be first known candidate for Seattle head coach, one of 4 current #NHL openings. |

I have one question...if Gallant is so good why does he get fired after 2-3 years everywhere he goes? I just understand investing in him if he is going to be gone that quick. |

there isn't a good way to look at anyone then
Babcock stayed at jobs awhile and is looked at as a pariah
I really don't understand why Vegas fired Gallant though, they got absolutely shafted by refs in that first round loss to San Jose in 2019

Him and Kevin Stevens were tough to play against on those Pens teams |

Yea just doesn't make sense to me. Everyone says how great he is, but no one wants to hire him or keep him employed. Just odd |

one thing is a fact, it doesn't matter if Dolan gives Gallant a 5 year contract
he'll be gone in 3 years if he doesn't win a Cup

How do you hire this guy knowing how much of a cancer he is to a team? |

my trade proposal for Eichel is
Buchnevich
Chytil
Lundkvist
Rangers 2021 first rounder
Buffalo gets their own 3rd rounder back
and most Buffalo fans laughed at this - jimbro83
With the knowledge of his herniated disc now public, I think that is an over payment. Sabres fans are laughing to keep themselves from crying. Their big payday has vanished. |

He was under contract through this season. Good chance he was pissed off about the dismissal and wanted to stick it to Vegas and force them to keep paying him to sit on his ass and do nothing for the duration of the contract. |

Who can blame him? Staying home all year during a weird shortened season while being paid and knowing you'll be at the top of the list of coaches hired this offseason it's an easy decision. Add in the spite and it's a no brainer |

He probably knew that he could take some extremely-well-paid time off and, at worst, be majorly sought-after by Seattle. Not to mention the usual couple of coaching spots that open up at the end of most seasons. Plus the whole "sticking it to Vegas" thing |
