It was insane. The hotel we stayed at gave us ihop coupons and it was still too much to consider eating there.

Our breakfast spot every day of our stay was blueline diner. It was like 10-15 minutes from the hotel and very worth it.

I assume you could tell from the decor that it was Marcel Dionne's restaurant?
Actually operated by his daughter. It is no longer. Only about 1km from my house!
We have a number of great, family run restaurants that absolutely blow away the franchises. The Italian place I directed you to for dinner among them.

Yes, we also walked around the memorabilia portion.

We enjoyed all of the places we ate at. None of them chains.

What was the name of the Italian place again? I am pretty sure we ate there but I am drawing a blank on the name.

Niagara on the Lake was awesome, had some really good pizza while we were there.

Napoli, on the corner of Stanley and Ferry.
I went to high school with the son, who now runs the restaurant.
N-o-t-L is great. Such an unusual, retro vibe around town. All their top end places are ridiculously priced, though. It's been years since we bothered. $250 CAD easy for dinner for two, if you're looking for a meal without holding back.

Yes we were there and it was great. I believe we walked there from the hotel.

The pizza lunch we had was a little pricey but not too crazy. It was very good and I don't mind paying for quality.

I feel the likelihood of trading the pick extremely strong

I just wonder if Drury has any trade mojo

We don't need prospects, we need nhl ready bodies. I'd put money on that pick being traded

I’m sure Arizona desperately wants back in first round and would like to dump some salary.

Could see a draft day deal there

gotta be one of weirdest things league has ever done

I read somewhere that the nhl needed to finish the complete schedule because of contracts and money from sponsors

I could definitely see targeting Dvorak if they are interested in moving him

They have no defensemen signed at all either, they are a mess

good point, they are actually not in compliance, they need to acquire a defenseman at this point to be compliant or sign somebody to an extension

couldn't they just protect 2 Dmen instead of 3 and leave Lyubushkin exposed? Serious question, are they required to protect 3, or I guess they could go the 8 skater route, what a joke

Nothing. Maybe Lawsonr Crouse but hes not worth a first.

That 1st rd pick is gonna be used in a blockbuster deal for sure.

Raty might make some sense there too. He’s really dropped off in rankings. Not sure how many more Europeans I want the team drafting though.

I guess its not bad getting the guy everyone thought would be #1 when the rankings started. He seems like a guy that will spend a couple years in the AHL, which may not be a bad thing for us as we develop our identity with some vets and existing players.

Raty is my guy if he’s there. I was reading some European scouts saying he’d still be in the top 10 of scouts could watch him play. I’d take a gamble like that in the middle of the 1st and not think twice about it. I’d love to add Coronato/L’Heureux but if Raty is there you have to take him.

I don’t think I’d want anyone from AZ to be honest. I’m sure they’re going to want to get back into the 1st round but I don’t see anyone I’d like/makes sense
