I was expecting to hear something on Toews after the season ended. His situation is concerning, imo.

IMO, Probably hear something after the playoffs during that 1 or 2 week window leading up to the expansion and amateur drafts.

Toews/Keith?

Nah, I hereby begin the Zadorov to Ottawa rumors. Sens just signed one of their young Russian right D Artem Zub to a two year contract. Z could be paired with him on the left side. They would communicate well. (What's Russian for "Stay in front of the net Nikita, I'll take the guy in the back."?) Sens could send back one of their many draft picks.

Hey, Mo hopefully he can come back and contribute. I guess time will tell regarding the Captain. I hope he's fine more importantly as a person and quality of life moving forward.

What would the Hawks get in return from Ottawa for Strome and Zadorov?

Probably not one of their top prospects. Ottawa would probably want to send back at least one contract. Maybe a low "A" prospect and a 3rd rounder?

Ottawa would need to retain some salary to make that work.

I think it was Mike Tyson who once said "everybody has a plan until they get punched in the face". So IMO it's how to react when things don't go according to the system, how to cover for each other. Instinct is essential, but a team game complicates things and it takes time to gel and come together. And all it takes is one guy who doesn't get it to screw things up. It's a process for sure and patience helps. Not easy though.

I think it was also Mike Tyson who said “I’m gonna eat your children”…so there’s that.

I am struggling with Theo withdrawal. Early warning symptoms. Getting up early, getting my coffee, going to HockeyBuzz, not finding a new post, feeling the day is off to a bad start.

Poor Blues lose Perron to Covid protocols as their first series is about to begin.

I did a 300 player review and changed all ranks. Now if we can get the tentative final standings I can start of that.

I decided that I had to add the to Russians and a Belarusian to the first, because they are that good.

I noticed one typo Wiz. You have Luke Hughes listed at 6 feet 15 inches. That's pretty tall.

So now you have the Hawks selecting center Mason McTavish. Based on your write up seems like a good player. Cool name too.

my hope is we move up to calgary spot assuming no one behind us jumps up we pick at 10 and walstadt goes before that and we take 1 of eckland, johnson. might need both goalies to go in. the top 9 thou. or maybe lambos goes higher or another center jumps up. I think sullinger goes in the 11-15 range

So Mrs. Snakebit goes to the Preakness on a "girls weekend". She recognizes a face in the crowd and yells "Go Hawks".

Two minutes later, I receive a picture of the Mrs with Eddie O.

They chatted for several minutes and, according to her, he could not have been more accommodating. A great ambassador for the program.

She probably cannot recall the horse that won the race but will never forget that chance encounter.

They really need to do something about the LTIR loophole. Kucherov misss the entire year, which is the only way TB gets under the cap, and then he's magically healed for the playoffs. They need to have independent physicians monitor these players every month, and if they are cleared to play, they ho back in the lineup. This shouldn't be required for players like Seabrook and Shaw who are "retiring" due to their injuries.
