Rangers aren’t trading laf. Eichel comes with a $10m cap hit. This trade doesn’t work with no salary going back to Buffalo.

Eichel has a 5 year contract left. I suppose he could pull PLD, so the possibility exists but that is pretty rare so the probability is very low.

Honestly the only untouchable on the rangers have is fox and the guys with nmc bc they wouldn’t waive. You could argue fox is as valuable as Eichel. True #1 dman. Anybody else probably on the table

Correct but again the Sabres hold all the cards right now.

Even with the injury the power is with the Sabres. Eichel has no choice where he’s moved and the Rangers or any team for that matter can’t have any untouchables(there are exception like Edmonton).
