How dare you question Terry’s hockey knowledge. The pegula’s clearly know more than you about hockey. You are a lowly FAN. What could you POSSIBLY know about the inner workings of icing a successful hockey team in the NHL! Buffalo is hockey heaven damn it! Just look at the success Terry and Kim have brought to the Buffalo Sabres... - Gr8daygo
Reminds me of Kim Pegula's comments last off season about being optimistic and "knowing some things the fans might not know"
I still get angry when I think about that |

The Rangers have no leverage and the best player in the deal is and always will be Eichel. Bend them over and don’t offer a reach a round. - dadeadhead
Not a Georgiev fan,
but this is a legitimate return for Eichel |

Not much different than having a NMC.
I’ll go sit on the beach in California until I’m dealt to where ever I want to go play.
Your move - Pegullaville
Sure sounded like Eichel wanted to get back out on the ice ASAP
There’s absolutely ZERO CHANCE he sits out for
FIVE YEARS just waiting to be traded |

adams said we only want to keep guys that want to be here
IMO that gives Jack the wiggle room to sit out a month and test their patience

I'm not worried about him sitting out. But he could just mail in his performance and tank his value. Just play half assed |

But the forwards weren’t the problem

after Heatley turned down the trade to the oilers, when Heatley finally showed up to practice, Murray was on record as saying
"When I looked (Heatley) in the eye, I knew the minute he walked out the door that I had to trade him," GM Bryan Murray said a short time later. "I didn’t think there was any chance. I just felt that we had to move him."
I really think it's going to be that case if he comes to training camp this fall |

Sure
I would let him sit
Tough to say what Adams would do
And would the Pegula’s be ok with the decision Adams makes? |

2016-17 could have gone differently if Eichel, ROR and Okposo didn't all miss time. They would have at least been playing Meaningful Games in March™️
Might have changed everything |

Who said anything about 5 years ?
Did Carson Palmer sit out 5 years ?
You think the Texans will let Deshaun Watson sit out 5 years without getting any sort of return ?
Chicago took Brandon Saad for Panarin.
The Sabres are in a tough spot.

I’m a year older then Jack. Born in the same year as Reinhart and Olofsson.
If the thought is crossing my mind, you don’t think it isn’t crossing the mind of the guy making the $10M who knows in 14 months he can hold out and go wherever he wants ?

Doubt it
Guys that competing are wired to just go out & play
Regardless....
i have absolutely no reason to worry about Eichel tanking his value until he starts to do it
Also.... his preferred team may not want him then if they see him pulling that kind of bs |

He can’t go “wherever he wants” in 14months
Even once the NMC kicks in, we can still say:
“This is the best offer we got for you, either u agree to go there- or u can stay on our roster.
Don’t like it? Keep sitting out then, whatever”
Plus every year he sits out (when he CLEARLY wants to be on the ice ASAP based on his end of year zoom call) he misses doing the thing HE LOVES- and loses A TON of money |

Right and him sitting out hurts whom more exactly ?
Eichel could not play hockey at all next year, miss out on $10M, and still make over $100M over the course of the next 10 + years.
What do the Sabres gain by having Eichel play for HC Davos with having nothing to show for it ? |

And that’s worse then excepting a couple of B prospects and a cap dump then getting nothing for him.
Point proven. |
