Very true - Buff36
What you said does have merit though.
Stephenson, Karlsson, Roy down the middle. They don’t technically have a legit top line Center |

He wears an A for this team, I don't see him as a player that is going to walk his way out of town. I think he signs long term here - chilliard77
So what's your offer to get him to stay? |

Vegas is proof of that.
Mark Stone though is probably a top 10 player in the entire sport in terms of “200 foot impact” and although Chandler Stephenson plays the middle on that line, Stone has that 1C type of impact on the game.
There are not many wingers who can do what Mark Stone does - Pegullaville

Marchand, Pasternak, Huberdeau.

his rookie year was awful. This year he looked like a great two way player. Just needs the points and to play top 6 minutes - nyrangers2
Kakko's underlying numbers have been horrible, worse than Yakupov. I wouldnt want anything to do with him

No you get Lafreniere. Kakko would be like getting Reinhart.
Lafreniere is getting another Eichel / generational talent
You don’t take less than Laf +++ - Sabretooth9
Lafreniere was never considered a generational talent. And Kakko has looked way worse than Reinhart did when he first began playing.

2m would more than double what he’s currently making. Still a “small sample size” of NHL games, which may make some teams leery of offering a big contract. But he is really good. |

I guess outside of Vegas, Minnesota is another example of a team that doesn’t have a Franchise 1C that has had success this year.
Eriksson Ek is outstanding but I think he’s more of a 2C.
Maybe we should include Kaprisov as well in terms of wingers capable of driving a line.
Moral of the story is that you need to have a player regardless of C/LW/RW capable of driving a line.
So what Buff36 said is not off base, however finding elite winger, especially one whom shoots right handed, is just as difficult as finding a 1C. |

Never said he was invited, said he could have said No. Boss you and Fitz are really good at spinning stuff to try and make yourself look smart. - Buff36
You're too easy fluff.
Talking in circles. Did caggiula invite himself?
And then said no?
I'm not sure how smart I'm looking?, I have a history of being wrong 😀 |

Well should have been more precise 2yr 1.5m avv, but if it took 2m a year I would do it. He was pretty decent last year in his 12gms to. |

I like Chandler Stephenson as a Sabres target.
Probably vegas likes him too though....

Was it out there he was or never was. I mean do you have a list of who has or hasn't been invited. I don't remember ever saying he was invited and turned it down. You said something about why wasn't Caggs invited and all I said is maybe he said No. Again spinning |

I think we have seen 90%+ of what he has to offer, so yes.
He enjoyed unbelieveable success his first 10 games, all from the PP when teams hadn't seen him before. Since then, his production has fallen off and he is a 3rd liner at 5v5...that is relatively easy to get.
At soon to be 26, does he warrant sticking around for what seems most likely to be a rebuild for 2 more seasons before they are pretty competitive. At 28 what is he?
Strictly IMO, the #1, #2, and #3 goals for Adams is to maximize the return on Jack...Olo just might be a piece to do that...I think it does when positioned properly. - IonSabres
This has been both years too.
Was at almost a PPG, and 40 goal pace 15 games into the season, teams adjust to where he shoots from and his production falls off
6 goals in the last 40 games this year. Yikes |

Why would you suggest caggiula said no , but wasn't invited?
That does not make any sense.
Players do not volunteer, they are selected .
He was not selected, invited nor did he need to say no |

It was funny, Maroon talkin’ poop before those final two games, and then FL came out and smacked them in the mouth. Tampa is still the champs, though, and if Vasi gets on a roll they will be tough to beat with the firepower that is returning to their lineup. - Ratsreign
