I threw this out yesterday
Chytil, Kakko, Georgiev and Zac Jones - homiedclown
Kakko has had a worse start than Yakupov, stay away from him.

Kakko has great underlying numbers. Just did not put up points this year. He will top out as a 50-60 point guy eventually playing top 6 minutes. Hes played on the 3rd line for 2 years now. Hard to get him minutes with Buch, laf, panarin, kreider on the wings - nyrangers2
Ya, competition is high, no doubt, but still he should be producing more.
Maybe his breakout comes by being moved...maybe.
I still don't make him the primary piece..3rd-ish. |

The bottom line is the Sabres need at least one unlimited ceiling prospect in a trade (in addition to more 1st round grade assets). This doesn't offer that |

Byfield or Zegras. Maybe DLP, that idea from Kong is interesting.
Use all other teams offers to drive up the price. Like Babcock did with Terry.
Regardless of injury, I’m sure the medical would be shared with others interested. Just like a car fax on a used car.
Jack will be absolutely fine. Rangers don’t have the right pieces and I’d want him in the western conference.
If you don’t get a deal for him that begs you to say yes, fine.... he starts the season, lights it up and you trade him by December...
He’s a top 7 center in the world, period. |

I can assure you that no one in Vancouver is giving up Hoglander for Reinhart, never mind adding in the deal. As a rookie he is already scoring half a point a game in limited minutes without much power play time. He is skilled, tough on pucks, and has a motor that never shuts off. A cost controlled player like that on an ELC is worth gold.
Vancouver can just wait a year and get Reinhart for free since it is fairly public knowledge that he wants to come here. His trade value is remarkably low with it being known he wants out and only having one year of club control left. Buffalo has no leverage over the player, if he doesn't agree to an extension to a potential trade destination no one is giving up anything significant for one year of a decent, but not elite player.
I think I can speak for the entire hockey world that no one who wasn't extremely drunk or high gives Buffalo Tkachuk for Reinhart. - Promethian
Reinhart worth a first and prospect at trade deadline
You would be getting him for 1 year
He will be going to a playoff team
So no need to worry |

his rookie year was awful. This year he looked like a great two way player. Just needs the points and to play top 6 minutes |

Agreed he has the worst shot on the team. When that’s fixed more goals should come |

The reality is any time a big name player is traded that team almost always loses out. The Rangers don't need Eichel. They can get a very good number 2 center and roll with Zib as the one.
Best offer from the Rangers would be buch, chytl, nils and a 1st. If they move a topyoung player as well it would be kaako, but another pick would have to come back. Eichel carries a large cap hit and has an unknown injury. Trading Eichel a year ago would have fetched a better return. I dont want any part of Eichel or his cap hit. He is a top 5-7 center in the league when healthy tho - nyrangers2
Where? Buffalo has been searching for 3 years running.
How much is Buchy expected to get in his deal? I suspect he would prefer a 1 year deal to get to UFA next season, or a long term deal. $7.5 - $8m x 7?
Your 1st isn't worth alot at 16 this year, take that out and add Kakko
We have enough puck moving Dmen, replace Linquist with Schneider or Miller |

Your owner seems to think he does.
But, nbd, if the fit isn't there, the Sabres just move on. |

No you get Lafreniere. Kakko would be like getting Reinhart.
Lafreniere is getting another Eichel / generational talent
You don’t take less than Laf +++ |

Schneider would be an option. I liked hertl or Monahan but not sure they would be available. If they keep buch he prob gets $6-7m |

I just don’t think Buffalo is going to get a young player back like that. I think it will be the sum of the parts they get make the team better. But who knows. Kings are the best trade partner for you guys |

Dolan may be the tipping point. I'm sure Drury will tell him that they shouldn't trade player X or player y, but Eichel may just be too tempting.
Who knows? Time will tell. Sabres may not even trade him. |

Any deal needs to involve a center prospect with a ceiling of "elite"
Chytl doesn't offer that. |

You're spot on.
If Chytl was the main piece coming back, I'd puke. |

So according to friedman
Regular surgery and healing takes 6 months
Eichel choice is 3 months
That's why friedman said he believes surgery will happen after trade
Which means he's traded before June 15 |
