He’s hurt?? All of his injuries are not career ending.
His neck injury will be fine.
He didn’t blow out his knee or Achilles or anything like that - Sabretooth9
Probably will be, hope it is. Still doesn't change the fact he has a neck injury that could effect his career. And anyone would try to use that against the Sabres.

reason 12,532 to move him this summer
he could play a full season in 2021-22 and then when the next season comes up, and he has a NMC, the one team he would accept the trade to could use that against leverage
I would rather have 31 teams competing for him and hoping a few overlook it vs 1 or 2 teams and they insist on using it as leverage
This "injury" doesnt really change eichels value in my opinion.
Maybe just slightly, but it's a common injury and a 24 year old recovering from it.
I could see eichel mess around with this and have the 6 month surgery in October...... if we dont trade him soon
That would suck - Boss34
It is a common injury for a normal person going back to a normal job, not a player who plays in a contact sport. Hopefully it doesn't change his value, but doesn't mean teams won't try to use it.

Not saying to wait to move him, and of course you want as many teams as possible involved. Still doesn't take away he has a neck injury that could hurt his value.

and if he played 20 games next season, and says I want out and only go to boston
the return would be slightly better then what we got for hall IMO

that's my biggest fear
next july we get ritchie and pick number 28 for jack - homiedclown
I get that fear, and it does start the clock ticking, but there are still just as many teams interested BEFORE mid-July as there are currently.
If a team wants him, and thinks they may be on the outside looking in, with regards to his NMC, they'll possibly make an aggressive move at next year's draft.
Best outlook for this team is for Jack to get healthy. Whether he stays here or gets traded. Could they still get a good haul for Jack right know, sure, but with the uncertainty of his injury could that affect it, Yes, best case scenario is this therapy works and Jack doesn't need surgery.

Agree, but he is hurt, and everyone outside of Sabres fans are gonna through crap at a wall and hope Adams scrapes it off. - Buff36
There is NO NEED to trade him this offseason.
Yes, it is preferable for the Sabres to move on faster.
Yet, if he has surgery by mid June, then he is back on the ice by end of Sept.
They would of course have substantial progress reports by the Draft...it lines up ok...unless Sabres fvck around with him.
And, they still can move him next offseason, assuming he comes back and plays well...which. ight actually be beneficial to the return if he comes back and return to 1.25 Pt per game pace.
Risk for sure, but lots of time and potentially better opportunity.
