I forgot that Koskinen was that Dog Sh}t contract Chia Pet gave out literally 2 days before he was fired.
Somebody on twitter compared it to letting out a massive fart, then leaving the room before anybody notices.

Flavour of the month AHL coaches always get hired and it's hit miss. (Eakins) lol
Green...I still think the jury is out. - LordHumungous
New coaches have to be hired otherwise you are always going to get the same crap. Green went from an asst in Portland to his superior being suspended for a half a season to an AHL coach to the NHL. He has very little experience in coaching at any level. |

It would have been nice if he had some time as an asst in the NHL first. |

Just bring in people with experience. I’d rather have Torts back than another rookie coach - neem55
There's an idea that floats around here that regardless of experience(good or bad) - if you were in some what a part of the Canucks organizations, be it a former player, coach, scout, whatever it may have been - then we do not want you back in any way shape or form to lead this team. Especially, if you had something to do with the "ring of honour." I just don't quite understand the rational. |

Or some experience somewhere, other than a few years here and there.
Neem laughed at David Quinn. Here's his resume.
Asst coach 3 years Northeastern Uni
Asst coach 6 years Uni Nebraska-Omaha
Head coach 2 years USDP also U17 HC and u18 AC
Assoc HC 5 years Boston Uni
Head coach 3 years AHL
Asst coach 3 years USA world championship
Asst coach 1 year Colorado Avs
Head coach 5 years Boston Uni
Head coach 3 years Rangers
Green's
Asst coach 4 years Portland
Head coach 4 years Utica
Head coach 4 years Vancouver |

FYI, with 45 minutes left before brackets are locked, I just made a big change to mine, with the news that David Perrson has gone on the Blues' Covid list.
He's the 3rd St. Louis player, which makes me concerned that it is a real outbreak and not just an exposure situation. And given what I said earlier about how their playoffs last year were derailed by Covid, I feel like this is a nasty boogeyman for them to be facing emotionally right now, as well as from a health point of view.
So - I'm going with the Avs in five now — and now picking them as my champs. And I could very well be overreacting |

or Gerard Gallant for example who was an assistant in the IHL for a year, then assistant the next year in the AHL, then hired as an assistant in the NHL for 2 years before becoming head coach halfway through his 3rd. So exactly 4.5 years from ZERO experience to NHL head coach.

Through 137 games (1502 minutes together), Tanner Pearson has assisted on 9 Bo Horvat goals.
Through 53 games (391 minutes together), Nils Höglander has assisted on 5 Bo Horvat goals.
It’s Höglander who needs to stay with Horvat moving forward. |

yup you're right - not a lot of experience.
Jeremy COllition - he was head coach of MOra for 2 years, then did 88 games in the AHL then hired by Chicago - that might be a record??

Last night was shown that Miller is not a play driver for himself or others. Better winger than centre |

I kind of would have thought that all the NHL players should be old enough to be vaccinated by now? I wonder if he has been....
I would be also if the Manitoba gov wasn't so dumb. My daughters test came back negative today. |

One thing I do agree with ASL on was Green should have spent time as an NHL assistant. But when you win a Memorial cup and take Utica to the Calder finals you will get noticed. He was the Flavour coach of the AHL and the Nucks promoted within. |

Other teams wanted him as HC so it was fish or cut bait. Now its regime change time. So who knows where he takes a seat in coaching musical chairs.
Outside of the those who think they know better Green has a good rep/profile in NHL circles. Likely employed come next season. |
