Go Bruins Go. - Reubenkincade
you can enjoy the hockey without Canuck hate cheering for the BS Bruins.
On that note Jake went from trade block to maybe winning first round scoring and injuring Caps savior starter. |

I don’t usually agree with anything Mark Spector writes but I like his prediction of Carolina’s goalie winning the Conn Smythe. Until he emerged this year, goaltending was their only glaring weakness. They would be my dark horse pick. |

Whoever takes over the Canucks needs to accept the fact they will be co-managing with the Aquilini brothers. Any independent thinking GM will laugh at their inquiries. Dean Lombardi would be a good example. Might as well just stick with Elmer.

Other teams wanted him as HC so it was fish or cut bait. Now its regime change time. So who knows where he takes a seat in coaching musical chairs.
Outside of the those who think they know better Green has a good rep/profile in NHL circles. Likely employed come next season. - NuckUp

Finishing first means nothing when nobody is picking them to win it all. |

Lots of people are picking them to win, cause they finished first. Have a little look at the vegas odds(hint: not an underdog) |

I saw some text about what one of the Canucks media said that the Canucks might be changing GM's and coaching now because of how the fans feel about the brand. They want the fans to feel like they are going to have a new fresh start for when fans are allowed back into the building.
Some media also believe JB has done a pretty good job considering everything he has had to work under. Think there have been limitations put on JB over the years. |

I would move JT Miller as fast as I could this summer. He makes the game about himself... I would trade JT Miller in a heartbeat. You don't win with guys like that

I'm starting to think this may be the case. If it's true it really doesn't matter who the next yes man is.

If you can swing a fair deal trade him for Sam Reinhart.

Yup, nothing is going to change until we get a new owner and that's not going to happen because without the Canucks no one would know who the Aquilinis were. |

All you can really hope for then is the next guy is just a much better all around GM than Benning. Can use what JB has started and find the missing pieces.
I just hope that he can still draft because I can't go back to 10 years of Gillis and Nonis drafting.

There's an idea that floats around here that regardless of experience(good or bad) - if you were in some what a part of the Canucks organizations, be it a former player, coach, scout, whatever it may have been - then we do not want you back in any way shape or form to lead this team. Especially, if you had something to do with the "ring of honour." I just don't quite understand the rational. - Brooks_Light
I think it’s a bit of hyperbole on some peoples part, but I believe the sentiment is that “being a former Canuck” isn’t actually a valid qualification for a job in senior management. For instance, TL had never worked in any hockey capacity, other than as the head of the players, with the union and yet the Canucks organization deemed him capable of taking on the role of president of hockey ops.
I’m not opposed to former Canucks in management, but I’d like to see this organization take the hiring process a little more seriously. |

Sam Reinhart is a good hockey player, he is not a player the Canucks need to add. You could probably add his equal in this years draft.
I also wouldn't make such a big decision after this season. He was great last season and got all sorts of praise. Now that things aren't going as right, the narrative has changed.
Day by day fans. |

He actually predated Linden if you knew what was happening. But backed off advisory when the Linden brand took the Pres. job to suck up to the Sedins.
Courts is no yes man. He cuts through the BS. Maybe he'll get ownership's respect to set things up. Clarify direction with this no confidence franchise. |

Pat Quinn was just a coach but remembered as a great Canuck GM. |
