What is your opinion on Eichel?

From an outsider perspective, seems like there’s so much drama/issues with him and the front office, injuries, etc. Why not get a nice return for a legit rebuild and move him?

Well he's a fantastic hockey player. And understand his frustration. Upper management has been horrible. But I am pretty pissed about what he did on Monday, didn't need to go down that way, especially when your own personal doctor agreed about the first phase of treatment. He could have taken it to arbitration, pretty obvious he didn't have a leg to stand on or he would have. I really don't know what will happen, but he hurt us in a trade scenario if it comes to that.

He wants to have a new type of Disc Replacement surgery, never been done on a Hockey player before, actually only been done on 2 MMA boxers in contact sports. Sabres doctors are hesitant about letting him have it cause not much is known about it. Sabres and his doctors decided to go with rest an PT to see if that would fix it, that time frame takes us to the end of May early June and then he's supposed to have more imagery done.

Honestly, the idea of rest/PT then assessing/regrouping to figure out the best option seems like the smart move to me.

Why risk what sounds like a relatively unknown surgery and what it might do to your body, if there are other (non-experimental surgery) options to explore first?

Glad you looked again, Canucks playoff jerseys.
Didn’t want to see Sammy go but happy for him. He’s been a stud in the playoffs for the Flames the last 2 years only problem not enough others showed up. Looks like the Cats got a good team. I’ll be tuning in for the run.

Bennett is made for playoff hockey, did he cut down on his penalties for the Panthers, he had a knack for taking some stupid penalties.
