Game was horribly officiated imo. Great game none the less but between Kucherov sitting out the entire season until the playoffs and the refs obvious bias I am hoping you guys pull it out.

The refs have to be better than that, they let a lot of poop go that caused things to escalate to the boiling point. There were two that really irked me. The first was Kucherov slashing and breaking Forsling’s stick right off the draw that led to his first goal. The second was the uncalled late and cheap hit on Barkov which Bennett was retaliating for when he took the boneheaded charging penalty. Oh yeah, the phantom offside call that stole a possible good scoring chance from FL was atrocious. Tampa were flying the zone and FL picked the pass off inside the TB blue line. The linesman blows it dead for offside, the puck never came close to leaving the zone. The officiating definitely influenced the outcome of the game.
That being said, FL better stay out of the box or they will lose this series.

I also wonder if Cooper used to coach basketball, he has his boys setting picks all over the place. They are usually very subtle and slick about it, but you really can see it when you’re there in person. Panthers will have to find a way to fight through it, and keep the games at 5v5 as much as possible.

Not saying that Bennett shouldn’t face disciplinary action, but McDonagh’s hit on Duclair was every bit as dangerous. Both were only given minor penalties when the hits occurred. It is bs if McDonagh gets nothing for it while Bennett gets a game suspension.

That would be ridiculous, and that cross check Sergachev gave Bennett was pretty bad, luckily Bennett was far enough away from the boards to twist his body. Yes, I’m definitely a homer, but, when I wrote “...they let a lot of poop go that caused things to escalate to the boiling point.“ I thought that statement implied that things were let go both ways, hence they reached the boiling point. I’ll try to be more clear in the future. Not trying to absolve Bennett of his knucklehead penalty, but if the obvious call was made just beforehand, that never happens. The refs let the game get out of control, where players started taking things into their own hands.
I was in the stands without benefit of a lot of replays, but I will retract my female dog about Kucherov slashing and breaking Forsling’s stick. I’ve seen a replay since posting that which shows that didn’t happen.
FL better stay out of the box from here on, TB’s powerplay will send them to the golf course if they don’t.

Yeah i was kind of shocked when Bennett only got the minor there though. The time of the game was probably the only reason he didn't get a major. He came from quite the distance looking at his numbers the entire time. Have to reign in the anger there with the lead.
