Yes, but I think that his effort and overall morale is the cause of that, not the analytics themselves. - sbroads24

Just looked up Zary's production. I now agree.
How the hell did he last to the 24th overall pick? - kingcong39
No clue.
I can’t say enough how much better I think quite a few players picked after Quinn will be.
It’s going to look so bad
Edit- including Peterka.

at least ror finally became a leader
once he left buffalo - homiedclown
U mean he went to a team that was well built & showed he was a winner
U guys were all wrong saying we should trade him
U guys were all wrong saying it was a good return
And the few of you who said ROR was “easily replaceable” came out looking utterly ridiculous

We need him to be a stud in the worst possible way. It will be nice when one of the late firsts early seconds turns into a stud for us. |

It’s funny how two other people said he’s a #5 on that page and you singled out my post lol.
He’s a 5. - sbroads24
Yours was the 1st i saw
And no, he’s not a “5”
He’s a good 2nd pair defenseman

Nah, that ship has sailed.
Any proof he was a top 4 D man this season? Anything at all? |

And ROR signed long term with Buffalo.
If Sam is adamant on going to the market it may have an effect on the return.
Pageau got a 1st, 2nd, and a 3rd as a UFA and then signed in Long Island long term. Maybe that’s what we are looking at in a Sam trade - Pegullaville
We don’t know that though
We are assuming Sam doesn’t wanna sign HERE long term
But that doesn’t necessarily mean he won’t sign somewhere else long term |

This is really a long roundabout way of blaming analytics?
O’Reilly’s “analytics” here we’re still solid. It was actually everything else IMO. - sbroads24

Well yes, but it sure helped him become "the guy" with the team they had, didn't have that here. |

Yeah. That logic works for Tyler Myers I guess then too?
Results don’t matter?
Risto blows.
And now he doesn’t even put up good “pointzzzzz” |

Wasn't here yet, but I will go on record saying we shouldn't have traded for him in the 1st place, we weren't ready. |

We still haven’t “easily replaced” O’Reilly like his haters tried to make us believe was possible
Hopefully Cozens can build on a decent rookie season to at least become a “2C”
I wonder (if Jack & Sam go) that it hurts- or helps- his development??? |

Disagree
If u can acquire a good YOUNG player,
then go for it
He fit our timeline just fine
The failure,
was that gmtm put together an absolutely awful defense overall
Not being able to get the puck out of our zone & up ice absolutely killed us |

Myers is a bottom pairing D man who always gets top 4 minutes
Coaches love him = good too 4 D man.
It’s flawed logic.
They both suck |

Just read a proposal reported on Spoertnet up here in Canada.
Eichel to the Flames for Tkachuk , Zarybamd the 2021 1st round pick.
I think that’s a pretty sweet deal for both teams. - HonkyTonkMan
it's not bad
probably end up being pick 11
a proven first line winger with control
mid first round prospect that seems to be developing
I would try to get a second rd pick added or someone like Poirier

So you’re FINALLY admitting you were wrong about Myers then?
You’re right that neither one of these guys panned out to be the “#1” defenseman they were drafted to be
But that doesn’t mean they’re “3rd pair guys who suck”
You’re just exaggerating again bc of your disappointment
We ALL know u don’t like Risto dude
Fine
Just let it go ffs
He’ll be gone soon enough & u can find someone else on our team to hate on |
