Risto 6th all time defenseman scoring in team history.
245 points and in the prime of his career.
You could see why some people would think he doesnt suck and isnt 5th on this current team. Right?
Myers 14th - 100+ points behind sucko55 |

Disagree
If u can acquire a good YOUNG player,
then go for it
He fit our timeline just fine
- jdfitz77
we got dahlin after his third/final year year
timeline clearly was not right going after ror
pick 8
pick 8
pick 1
still think they needed 1 more year, grab a Dubois or Tkachuk and then made the moves
but the owner was having no part of that at the time |

Myers is a bottom pairing D man who always gets top 4 minutes
Coaches love him = good too 4 D man.
It’s flawed logic.
They both suck - sbroads24
Jim Benning screwed up one of the easiest GM jobs in the league.
Their amateur scouting staff hits home runs or at the very least doubles, and he butchers it with stupid moves at the professional level.
If Green takes the axe because of it I hope Buffalo can get him |

U talk sh!t about Risto ALL THE TIME
No one here is saying he’s a “#1”
Not even Boss
Is there anyone on the Sabres that you actually like?
Let’s talk about that instead
Assuming we are rebuilding again....
who do u see as part of our next core? |

The failure,
was that gmtm put together an absolutely awful defense overall
Not being able to get the puck out of our zone & up ice absolutely killed us - jdfitz77

Timeline was just fine
GMTMs execution is what was off
He built a bad defense that killed the team’s froward growth
ROR and Kane were both 24 in their 1st season with us
That’s young enough to be part of a team that grows into a good one
Gmtm (and others) just killed us with mistakes compounded by additional mistakes
And if we’d waited a year or 2 to try & get them,
we’d have missed out
Maybe we could’ve gotten different good players later on? But maybe not?
Impossible to say |

The rebuild could make us a Juggernaut if done right draft Beniers
- The assets we get from jack
- kings 1st 21 or ducks 21 (top 10 ten )
- Byfield or Zegras
- we get a top 3 in 22 draft
- wright
- savoie
-lambert
Center depth
savoie
Byfield or Zegras
Beniers
Cozens
Casey
- gerbe75pts
Eklund >> Berniers

But if we only have one, I want Eklund. imo, far and away the best pure offensive prospect in this years draft |

*shrugs* - Michael Pachla
And Eichel is also still young enough that he can be part of a “core” to build around
Just doesn’t look like it’ll be here |
