Brady is interesting as he's an analytics darling but so far, they haven't translated to actual points as much as his advanced stats would indicate they should. - kingcong39
Ridiculous amount of hits and shots every game.
Tough, leader and some evolving skill.
If that ror to the habs for the 3OA was true....
Good raport with Casey from the worlds... |

If Risto made half of what he makes and plays half as much as he does I wouldn’t mind him as much as I do.
Unfortunately that is not the case. - Pegullaville
I’ll GLADLY stop talking about Risto (like u said you would) if u guys (u, sbroads, etc) would stop bashing him
He’ll likely be traded soon,
and then u guys can celebrate |

Stats the last 2 years:
Matty T:
123games, 36goals, 65points
82game pace: 24goals, 43points
*did have a 77point season 3years ago though
Brady T:
127games, 38goals, 80points
82game pace: 25goals, 52points
*most points in a season in his 3years is only 45pts, but he was on pace for 53pts this season
Olofsson:
110games, 33goals, 78points
82game pace: 25goals, 58points
What’s the above mean?
Brady isn’t definitively better than Olofsson, let alone his brother
Matt has Brady’s tenacity, PLUS the ceiling of being near a PPG player
Thinking Brady is among the league’s best is nonsense though
He is a “good” player- NOT a “great” one
- jdfitz77
Being a huge brady support i believe with a true number 1 center he will explode what is shocking brady is way more Mature then Matt |

Right now thats the only hope right now .
Matty will likely be back in college and we might get a chance at wright next year - gerbe75pts
I think Donnie G can get the team he had out of the basement into the mid 20s. These kids--Mitts, Cozens, Dahlin, Asplund, Bryson, Borgen--don't want to lose. Not fixing the goaltending problem will certainly torpedo what I just wrote, but competent goaltending and the way the skaters play will pull up their points percentage |

Was gonna point out it's really seven full seasons and that his first full season was the 14-15 tank season - Michael Pachla
Eichel couldn’t even be the savior for us....
Idk what they thought Risto was gonna do
No, he didn’t develop into the “#1” we wanted him to be
But that also doesn’t mean he’s a “#5” who “sucks” and is the “reason we’ve been losing” for the last 8years

Be that as it may, if Ottawa or Calgary took Olofsson for either Tkachuk brother, either of their GMs should be checked for concussions. |

Right, however Eichel still had some very good seasons here, despite Risto cratering possession while they were on the ice together.
Apart from the PP, Risto is a net negative player.

I'm not sure what he's trying to say as Matt Tkachuk has 36 goals and 65 assists the past 2 seasons combined for 101 total points. |

Eichel was the reason we won games
Risto was often a big reason we lost games
It’s painfully obvious to see the difference between the two
One is great. The other makes a great play every 10 games or so |

Interesting read
https://rinkroyalty.com/2...tarter-jack-eichel-trade/ - c1067
But if LA wants to start winning NOW -while Kopitar & Brown are still producing- then they need a guy like Eichel
And if Adams is willing to accept LAs “secondary” pieces like suggested in that article, the he’s nuts
Craig Custance suggested an Eichel trade would cost LA:
Byfield AND Turcotte AND two 1sts
So let’s see what happens with all this
In the end, I’d bet we get A TON |

If they lose all three it'll be extremely difficult, but I do like the way Donnie Meatballs had the youngins playing after the losing streak plus Cozens, Mitts and Dahlin seemed to be on a mission |

Mittelstadt’s emergence has definitely helped. He can be a 2B to Cozens’ 2A.
We will lack a 1C though unless we luck into Wright next year - Pegullaville
Can we get away with (3) #2 centers?
No eichel as a #1
Briere, drury , roy? Not saying they were 2c's, but .... |

Of course it will hurt to lose both those to, but doesn't mean that the pieces you could add can't help you now and into the future. There's so much that could be done this year, there's potential to help this team before the Expansion draft, those extra picks could help there. People need to stop wallowing, this could be a Franchise altering offseason in a good way. |

Not sure they have the cap space to do that deal unless some salary was coming back this way. (I could be wrong) |

Development might be his forte and if they lose Jack, Skunk and Whipping Boy, they'll need a lot of development |

we just haven’t seen him be great YET

I don’t see why not.
Would require some very good wingers though. We’d need the 40 goal Vanek.
I also think Briere was a 1C but I understand your overall sentiment |

This is a very good post.
Tank #4 - good indicator is:
who is our goal tending tandem? Stealth tank or straight up 2015 tank?
Perhaps a dignified tank like this season?
