Coleman's predicted next deal is either 4 years at $4.8M per or 5 years at $5M per.
Homie and I discussed this a few weeks ago.
I like Coleman too, but he would be a bad signing at the numbers above. - kingcong39
Yes, that is stiff, no doubt.
Yet, I'd jettison Girgs, Bjork, Eakin, Miller and Hutton. (Look at that poop of 5 roster spots).
However, at soon to be 30 yo early next season, those contract lengths are way too long for a team entering Rebuild IV.
He would be a perfect type to get to change the friggin culture |

Does anybody think the Sabres are on the same planet as Florida and Tampa? Might not be in the same universe.
Now throw in Toronto, Carolina, NY Isles, Washington, Boston.
Sabres in a dog fight with Rags, Philly, Montreal , up and coming Ottawa for a chance at PO's...but need to beat out NJ, Detroit CBJ for a chance to even fight.
Now subtract Eichel, Reingart, Risto and maybe more.
Sabres might want to update the Tank Message they had Darcy express... maybe replace Suffering with
The hurt has been real, and now the pain will be incredible - IonSabres
the sabres are still recovering from the tank and everything surrounding it, especially a gutted prospect pool and the volley of trades that happened between 2015 and 2018...looks like they'll still be in the muck with some or all of eichel, skunk and viking55 on the move...
even if all three are traded, the young group of players they have as a foundation seem to understand what it takes to win in the nhl, which includes pace, tenacity and the ability to play a physical game |

i like bjorkie...don't know why everyone wants to dump him...plays at a high pace, always on or around the puck...lacks scoring touch but might still have enough of an upside to be a steady double-digit goal-scorer/25-point player in a bottom-six role |

Kucherov has 3 points.
Huberdeau has 2.
Barkov has a goal.
Point has a goal.
A bunch of face punchers have given us some 4 on 4 hockey though.
Great play by Bennett there to belt Coleman in the game and give the Lightning a goal - Pegullaville
Dumb penalty by Bennett, but he was retaliating for a cheap late hit on Barkov that the refs ignored. The refs were horsepoop last night and let things get out of hand, starting with only a minor penalty to McDonagh for his douchebag boarding Duclair with a hit to the numbers. That set the tone that a brawling type game with questionable hits would be allowed. That officiating crew should get the rest of the spring/summer off. They really had an influence on the outcome of the game with their selective whistles. Kucherov slashed and broke the stick out of Forsling’s hands right off the draw to gain the puck possession that led to his first goal.
The place was going nuts last night, that was awesome to witness and be a part of. The only thing I can really say in the refs’ favor is they seemed to realize it was mostly TB fans throwing the rats after Panthers goals. Most FL fans won’t do it because they know the refs will give us a delay of game penalty for doing so, the visiting teams fans also know this. Instead of plastic rats, next time perhaps I’ll bring a few plastic eyeglass frames to toss on the ice at the ref’s feet.

most fans didn't like monty when he was here in buffalo - Michael Pachla
It is ALL on Ralph.
Stifle an offensively creative guy and force him to play to his weakness.
He is no defensive wizard with shortcomings, but he is playing great hockey in a system well suited for him.
I like him and enjoy watching him play.

Montour under wowie Housley:
10 points in 20 games
Montour under Granato:
7 points in 12 games
Montour under Ralph:
24 points in 80 games
Thanks, Ralph |

What I saw yesterday was teams being hard to play against. Finishing checks. Tight checking. Physical play. I feel that is something Kev needs to address while reshaping the roster. I didn’t say face punchers. |

they were hating on him because he wasn't scoring while failing to recognize that he was playing exactly the type of game he's playing now in spite of the r lph |

Going by the pace under the other two, he should have had 42 points in 80 under Ralph.
Put another way, he played to about 60% of his offensive potential

Yeah. No doubt he and the team were stifled so it's not surprising how he came out of it under Donnie G and how he amped it up under Q.
But coaching doesn't matter. Or so I've read and heard. |

No, the dildo is a Buffalo thing. But officiating was pretty bad, there were calls missed on both sides. One that stood out was a knee on knee, can't remember who it was but you saw the Tampa player blatantly stick his leg out on 55 of Florida Accari (Spelling). |

Bennett gonna get suspended, he has a meeting with the league coming. So far, it looks like they’re gonna let McDonagh slide though. Not saying that Bennett shouldn’t face disciplinary action, but McDonagh’s hit was every bit as dangerous. It is bs if he gets nothing for it while Bennett gets a game suspension. |

Not all face punchers are one dimensional like some soft goal scorers we know. Tom Wilson can punch a guy in the face and score a goal at the same time |

Seems in some of these playoff games teams are bailing out their goalies instead of just blaming them. |

I wonder if Penguins fans agree.
3 of those 4 goals on Jarry were suspect.
Neither Vasy or Bob could stop a beachball last night.

True w/Jarry, on the TB/FL game however, both of those goalies made some big saves to keep it tight. A Fuhrian approach |
