I wonder if Penguins fans agree.
3 of those 4 goals on Jarry were suspect.
Neither Vasy or Bob could stop a beachball last night. - Pegullaville
Dude, you must be high. Both goalies made many sparkling saves. The game could’ve easily been 9-8 or something crazy like that.
Teams with this much offensive talent are gonna put pucks in the net. |

Vegas vs Wild, both goalies were fantastic, Fluery has a hell of a glove hand still. And that game last night, both goalies were pretty good. |

Bennett gonna get suspended, he has a meeting with the league coming. So far, it looks like they’re gonna let McDonagh slide though. Not saying that Bennett shouldn’t face disciplinary action, but McDonagh’s hit was every bit as dangerous. It is bs if he gets nothing for it while Bennett gets a game suspension. - Ratsreign
It was really bad by McDonagh..at the time I was like, Oh poop no!...both for possible serious injury and the likelihood of a major penalty.
If the suspend every player who retaliates, they'll be playing 3 v 3 soon enough. |

True w/Jarry, on the TB/FL game however, both of those goalies made some big saves to keep it tight. A Fuhrian approach - Michael Pachla
It's far from an exact science, but the timing of saves can be every bit as important as the number of them. That's what frustrated a number of fans about Ryan Miller. It wasn't so much that he let in that "soft" goal, but that he always allowed it in the 3rd period of a tie game, or at least it seemed like it anyway.

people remember his softies, as well they should....but he was also making big saves on odd-man rushes while those ferrari sabres teams were caught up-ice |

Good read - Buff36
Looking at that list, and where our roster is likely headed (young), I'd be more inclined to just stick with Donnie.
Torts and Boudreau don't look like good fits, and Gallant isn't coming here.
Granato is potentially just as good as any of those NHL assistants listed, and the junior coaches? Meh.
Donnie needs to find an assistant who can run a power play, however. |

Vasy was very shaky last night. You could tell just by watching his positioning.
Disallowed goal could have went either way.
Huberdeau break away goal went right through his legs and he didn’t even shoot it.
That was not his best game last night.
Bob looked like a chicken with his head cut off last night. He was all over the place in the net. He completely overplayed the Point PP goal because he was sliding all over the place.
Of course both goalies made some good saves, that’s what happens when there are nearly 40 shots directed towards the net.
The Panthers should start Dreidger the next game and stay out of the box. They were the better team at 5v5 but got victimized by the special teams that don’t matter |

Yeah I am inclined to keeping Granato, I just like everything I have read on him. Wouldn't surprise if he tries to bring in his former Assistant that worked with him at USNDP. |

The disallowed goal was the right call, while the interference was slight, it created the 4" gap at the post where the puck went in.
On Huberdeau's goal, I don't know why Vasi lefted his right leg and therefore pad the 2" off the ice to let the puck slide under. He is definitely at fault for that. Florida is having success against him. Something to watch.
To say those goalies couldn't stop a beach ball is an impressive take though. |

It would be peak Sabres to pass up Granato for Nate Leaman

Coleman would be a great get.
Guy can play, and is certainly the 1st guy to jump in and play very physical when needed.
He Gourde and Goodrow were the guys who brought it every game last season during the playoffs. They started the period and usually closed them out...cooper relied on them incredibly so.
I'd take him in a second. At $1.8m, for 31 pts in 56 is a 45pt pace over 82...that is a steal at $2.5m - IonSabres
Maybe we could also sign McDavid for around 2.5 million. That would be a steal at 3.5 million.
I'm starting too understand why you feel like great28 Is overpaid tremendously. Reality slowly slipping away?

Seeing how we have players from X gms ,x coaches all in one roster.
It might be a good idea to start fresh get the players adams wants and get the coach that fits that type of style |

He's paid $1.8m ... took a guess at a ~40% raise at 29.
Meh shoot me...but McDavid would therefore be offered $15m as my guess.
But w/e Boss...was Coleman selected in the Fantasy Draft...that was a classic comment, lol.
But Girgs is at what $2.1m for 2 more years...maybe they should run him in training camp so he requires shoulder surgery too. That LTIR status is the best thing Girgs has brought in 5 years. |

You would hope, hopefully they do that this time. Hopefully what we saw the last 20gms or so is what Adams wants. And he already has desired players in mind. But I would think a coach would want some say in that. |
