Ok 1 - 1 going home we did our job and won 1 in Pitt. We got a series.

Pens wanted it more at the end there. Isles not nearly aggressive and physical enough on that pp. Valamov was great but ultimately that first goal killed us

For all the talk of Barzal and Ebs not producing, Brock Nelson really brought nothing tonight.

We did the job, we got one. Varly played fantastic after giving up that terrible goal so I think we should stay with him at the Barn. I have to say, I know you have to pull the goalie, and yes we didn’t do enough downlow but I hate 6-on-4. There are so many bodies in such a small area.

Line got the only goal and he had the assist on Baileys goal I believe but other than that he was quiet. Need that line to step it up next game.

Yeah I get it. It’s just a lot of bodies and sticks covering a lot of area. Pittsburgh knew we were gonna try to go to Wahlstrom.

You have to give Pittsburgh credit too. It wasn’t our best game by any stretch of the imagination but they are a much stronger forechecking team than they were even just last season and much faster. It’s gonna be a tough series, but in all honesty, I think we’ll win it somehow.
